April 11 on The Story: Particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic, child care costs have risen sharply in Oregon. For many working families, there simply aren't affordable options out. But there are some ways for families to get government support, and potentially ones that will become more available with time. Oregon has a network of state-supported child care programs, from Preschool Promise, Oregon Head Start and Early Head Start to Baby Promise, that offer government-subsidized child care with a low copay - typically less than $10 per month. There's also Multnomah County's Preschool For All, which has started small but is expected to grow over time.

Regarding the library issue, you can thank the Multnomah County Behavioral Health Resource Center, and where Multnomah County decided to situate it. Apparently, the city's public library is now being incorporated into the wraparound "day services" provided to the troubled individuals that Portland insists on collecting and nurturing in its city core. If you want to understand why Portland is having such a hard time, you only need to look at all the stupid ideas that our county and city officials keep coming up with - completely anti businesses, anti public safety, and anti quality of life for the taxpaying residents of the city. Eject the soft headed idiots and elect some sensible leaders who understand that maintaining a functioning and vital city is like running a business.

All these Repos that want to force Women to just keep popping out Babies, but the picosecond it comes to the Support necessary for them AFTERWARDS, all of a sudden; well that's just a diaper too full for their plate!

I just love the RAGING GRANNIES! Almost everything they are for, i am there with them! And increasing Portland Street Response is one such Program! But Gonzalez has never really liked it (Hardesty introduced); despite his occasional 'claims' to want to keep it going, 'in some fashion ...'
