Considering the midwife's reaction to the baby, it's possible that the baby's deformities were exaggerated by the parents and the picture. Maybe she only had a slightly bulging eye, a slight folded ear, and a slightly shorter arm, but in her parents eyes, they were big deformities, which would make the parents even worse people in my opinion.

I knew that the kid came back before they even finished the story. I heard a story similar to this. A mother accidentally dropped her baby off a bridge into rushing water and was devastated. She had another girl and the little girl was taken to that same bridge. The little girl said something along the lines of "This is where I died mommy. It's ok, it wont happen again." It might have been another version of this story except with a bridge. I also believe in past lives and have heard several stories involving someone remembering their past life or a signal that past lives were real. But still, screw the parents for throwing the little girl off the cliff.

I actually have a guy in my class thats like that he had a folded ear and one of his eyes are small and the other one is a little larger but hes like the smartest person in our class and is really nice soooo looks dont matter but at least hes lucky he didnt get yeeted off a cliff

Yep, those two deserve to have their first daughter reborn as their second daughter. How dare they murder a baby cause it was visually deformed?! What if she could have grown out of most of those deformations? Or what if she had a disease that made her eyes swell up? Seriously there's a disease that can make eyes swell up. I only know it from hearing it happened to some cats, that randomly the eyes would grow massive before going back down to a regular size. I don't know the name of the disease or if humans can have it. But that horrible couple deserved to have that happen to them. She didn't come out the way they wanted her, so she tried again and got to live, but afraid of going to where she was murdered!
