Going through abuse of any kind that has an impact on your life is hard enough.
Speaking up about the abuse you have gone through either to friends, family and or to the authorities is hard enough.
Not being believed or supported by friends, family and or the authorities is an utter betrayal of your courage and what you had to endure and cope with on a daily basis.
Going through the criminal justice system (which many either choose not to do or their case is dropped 'no further acton') is hard enough.
Fighting the 'system' to get changes made for current or future victims and survivors (which is heartbreaking we need to try and minimise this - zero tolerance to abuse) takes immense courage and strength and many will give up because the further impact takes a massive toll.
What we need is YOUR strength and support.....we are putting our heads above the parapet, we are fighting for justice for our inner child, our children, your children, the next generation.
So please get involved when asked and understand that we are doing this work for the benefit for all.
We need to raise awareness, sign petitions and step up where needed.
Please do not be a bystander, be an upstander and if you see it or suspect it - report it.
