It really drives home the saying..."Just because you donated some chromosomes, doesn't mean you're a mom or dad. " I've said this so many times!...and I don't even have any human children, I'm an animal foster. I genuinely feel sorry for social workers who start their career wanting to save children from abusive situations. It always ends up one of 2 ways; They quit because of the stress OR they become so jaded by a broken system that they turn their emotions off just to stay sane. 😞

Spoilers if you don't want to watch the whole episode: The episode name is Betrayal, and there were quite a few of them. The big ones are: 1) The victim had, in the past, slept with an underage patient and married her (current wife), betraying his doctor's oath. 2) The wife shoots the victim (and would have shot anyone else in the office) for betraying her with yet another patient (Meredith). 3) Lupo thinks Cutter betrayed the law by roughing up the victim's minor daughter to get the real story. 4) Dr. Olivet thinks the prosecution is betraying her, so she betrays them by testifying for the defense. 5) McCoy betrays a confidence to counter Olivet's betrayal: she slept with one of her patients, a 2nd betrayal for Olivet (I'm guessing it was Mike Logan). And the twist: the victim was writing a memoir, and Meredith was a code name for his wife. Turns out cheating on his wife and starting this whole series of events was the one betrayal that never happened.

It sound terrible, and I will not trust a parent that say something like that, but it could be that the only thing he has done is setting time off of telling her not to mistreat her mother and stuff like that. Now if that was the case most people will have say "he has not done anything to her" instead of that horrible construction, so I am inclined to believe there was abuse.

What is it with Hollywood's obsession with sexualizing therapists and other mental health workers? Why couldn't this have been an episode about someone who was doing real good for others and was then senselessly killed? I get that adding a devious twist to the doctor's story makes for better TV, but it also damages the image of all mental health workers, and feeds into the idea that you can't trust people in this profession because they will just want to seduce you or otherwise take advantage of you.

I see these comments about how the doc really cared for his patients. And how the tape was in code and about his wife....etc etc but... What...... no. The dude DID sleep with a CHILD PATIENT. Just because he married her later on does not make it okay. Having a secret hidden bedroom for CHILDREN to sneakily sleep in when they need a _time out from their parents_.... If this was okay, there would be zero need for the secrecy and/or rules about curtains, etc. Then tells a patient that another one of his patients FROM HER SCHOOL, was expelled. For buying a GUN to.. you know shoot people at her school.?!?!. Like.... what?

I remember this episode very big twist ending. The audio tape where he was recording talking about his love it was not a young girl it was his wife that he was talking about. His wife heard the tapes and thought that he was cheating on her with a young girl and she killed him. At the end of the episode it was revealed to her that he wasn't talking about some young girl but about his love for his wife. Is she a listen to him instead of jumping to conclusions rational conclusions mind you he was still be alive and she wouldn't been a murderer of her husband who did nothing but love her

Most modern interior doors are hollow; they won't do much if anything at all to appreciably slow down a bullet. Unless the door in question is metal painted over, it won't even stop a .22 cal. The biggest problem is accuracy; exactly where is your target? is that someone else next to them? Can you really hit your target without unintended casualties? That's the _real_ issue; that, and will the bullet stop before it gets out of the house/building? Will it ricochet and hit someone else? Too many bullets just keep going.
