"That weird solvent Alex likes to keep in the moonbase" is not a phrase that inspires any confidence whatsoever in the solvent, Alex, or the safety of others in the moonbase.
The finding other completely non-lego stuff in with all the lego is totally nostalgic. Me and my brother followed the instructions at first, but after the first time we generally just did whatever- usually stuff involving roleplaying with all the characters in these new environments we then created. I'm also still finding small lego pieces around the place still, even if the tubs with all the lego are in the attic. Edit: I also totally want to see more of this, other lego, and/or sorting it all.
Poor Ian came with mostly constructed things and wanted to finish them, then Graham shows up with a giant unsorted box of unsorted things and takes over.
Lego sorting ASMR was pretty good, Ian and his brother had made some AMAZING things with Lego, and hell, Graham and Beej just sorting it in the background was pretty cool too. I'd love to see this happen again, but with just Graham's collection and attempting to build neat stuff between the three of you.
Cool story, years ago I gave my Legos away to my brother. Hadnt seen them for about twenty years. My Step Mom got me a new job in a kitchen a few weeks back. Walk into work one day and there they are. My Legos. recognized them instantly because of pieces from a pirate set mixed in with pieces from the set Graham is building in this video. Restaurant was using them to simulate food on plates. Got to bring them home. Need cleaning. Pretty sure I dont have all the pieces left to assemble any full sets. So instead Ill just watch Graham :)
My mother once told me she kept my lego for "Her Grandchildren" I promptly told her "For MY CHILDREN, not for my brothers children" but she wanted it kept at my parents place so my plan is to get the sets / types (Space) that I want out of it and smuggled to my house and the sets I know belonged to my brothers can be seperated and left for them/their children. LOL but actually when my wife mentioned to my parents over christmas about potentually buying some lego for our son when he is old enough they said "Why? He has a big bucket of lego here he can have so don't bother spending that money" so I bet when they downsize the house my lego will get sent here.
Hate to be picky about this (and I enjoyed the memories a lot, they are also mine), but how about you sort the pieces by colour or function first, and then start building on stream? Still, would love a sequel to this.
My White Whale is the Mega Core Magnetizer that I never had as a child.I have pretty much all the M-Tron excluding that set. Now that I have a son I really want to get one for myself Aquanaut UnderSea base was so bad I didn't like it its the worst birthday purchase I ever made.... Yech
