If you’re going into any professional feel like being a doctor or a lawyer tattoos aren’t really allowed and you can have a beard as long as it’s managed
Fun fact we are homeschooling our kids and we were supposed to start cursive last year and instead we started sign language. My children can now sign the entire alphabet enough words that without talking I can tell them to be quiet and sit down and social situations without opening my mouth
Oh the memories. Over the summer breaks in grade and h.s., I used to create my own quadratic equations and solve them. I didn't want to lose my edge; had spiral notebooks full of 'em. 30 years later...couldn't solve an equation to save my life! 😂
My daughter's kindergarten class was visited by some firefighters during Fire Safety Month (October). The whole class was taught and practiced, "Stop, Drop, and Roll". Fast forward 12 years. Her sweatshirt caught fire when she leaned over a candle. That lesson learned in kindergarten kicked in. She stopped, dropped to the floor, and rolled on her sweatshirt to extinguish the flames. It worked. The floor was easily repaired, the sweatshirt ruined - but it could've been so much worse. She had very long hair which was saved from the flames because of her instantaneous reaction.
I'm so glad I spent my high school career learning about algebra, trigonometry and spanish instead of learning about credit, paying bills and owning/renting property.
Look, at any time a sadistic killer could run up to you and say "GIMME THE QUADRATIC FORMULA OR I'LL SHOOT! AND THEN ILL KILL YOUR DOG!" I mean thank God for 10th grade algebra on that day knowhatimean?? 😂
@@Tara_thatonegirl l think they were more just saying that he has the exact same mannerisms in the ads as in the video. Not a bad thing, a funny thing.
@@DiogoChris it's the smart way of doing sponsored content and making it blend into what you do. we use his videos in our social media influencer class of how to do it right!
Yeah that ending was awesome! Deserves it so much! Just Trey standing there with his arms up like “come again every adult I ever knew while growing up” hahahaha love it
I’m honestly a little disappointed at the lack of quicksand encounters in my adult life! Is it just me, or did we all feel like it was going to be a much more serious issue?
I know to write my name for things that need my signature that’s it. my younger brother can write and read anything in cursive. after they stopped teaching it he kept practicing. I can’t read what he writes now. Whoops 😬
If you don't know how to read an analog, buy a digital watch for $10. Then you'll never need an analog. This too is of course assuming you won't have your phone.
My college has all analogue in their classrooms. So during exams, if you want to know how much time you have left you better know the basics because no phones out and sometimes they ban watches too because alarms go off accidentally. Also it’s really not hard to learn analogue, way easier than cursive or long division
Fun story: my grandparents made my mom take a typing class when she was young but not her brothers. They assumed they'd have secretaries to type for them. Fast forward to the modern day, I know two adult men we still can't type worth crap. Parents have no idea how to prepare you for the future they can't see.
I had never heard stranger danger until I was in middle school. I think it's a bit misleading. The majority of child abduction are done by someone who knows the child.
Omg my dad told me that and then I was riding with my mom one time and she turned on the light to try to find something and I was like turn it off! We’re going to go to jail! And then she got mad at me for it. 😂
This is so funny. My nieces & nephews were talking to me about quick sand. They were pretending to avoid it, walking on garden stones I was puzzled. I said, "I have never come across ANY QUICK SAND IN ALL MY LIFE " they were astonished at that. Apparently, it's in ever tv show ever. I remembered it being a problem on Gilligan's island lol.
2:27 Even I felt that and my neck now feels better 🥰 I remember being taught cursive writing. My 7 year old nephew: “What is this magic?” 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
This was so ACCURATE!!!!!!!!! And yes, I am a teacher! I expressed to my math partner that all we really need to know is how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide… and the look I received. 🤣😂🤣😂 I forgot about the quicksand; I was so nervous growing up! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
@@blameese I go to a private school and fortunately I was in the last year when they taught cursive. After learning the basics in second grade, I continued doing it even though they stopped teaching cursive in the curriculum. I really wish other people in my age and grade picked it up. They often can’t read my handwriting and I am now finding that many adults can’t either. It’s really becoming a lost art.
The tattooed Dr. Part is so on point. My dentist is fully inked and rides his Harley to the office. He's an amazing Dentist. oh the shit our parents say to scare the crap out of us😂😂😂 keep it real mom.😆
At one point in my life my parents decided to do screen-free sundays and promised they’d be screen free too. My mom was texting her friends and my dad was constantly on Twitter 😅 needless to say that died out in a matter of weeks
Payroll, income, state, sales, estate, gift, capital gains, etc. it’s not that hard to learn, don’t blame school for your ignorance you should be learning things on your own
The thought of ending up in quicksand terrified me as a child. Definitely one of my biggest fears. It’s probably been 10 years since I’ve thought about quicksand. I had completely forgotten that it even exists before watching this video.
I still would rather use an MAP, than a GPS! I look at the map on the phone but I can’t stand that my sister can’t get anywhere, even in her hometown without the voice telling her where to go!
Them, calls me. “Do I turn right or left?” Me: 😑 “I don’t know which way your facing and which direction you’re going! Are you heading east or west? North or south?” Them: 🥴😵💫😵
If I use google maps for getting to a new place I always memorize the route so that I don’t have to listen to that wretched voice (or get in a car crash because of distraction)! 😖
Oh man, Trey I loveee your videos. I'm really having a hard time with school right now, God and your videos are the only things keeping me sane. You're having a great impact over here, more than you may realize, don't stop! And your laugh though LMAO!
Oh my god the breakfast part slayed me. Parents wear to god they were feeding us a healthy diet with this terrible milk, sugary cereals (that they would add sugar to!) and whatever processed drinks and foods. And these lunchables! Don't even get me started.
Trey ,you're hilarious! I'm born in Australian from Italian migrant heritage, nearly 52 & I understood every 'words of wisdom' you gave. The message of love is the same! Wish you could come tour in Australia & come to Western Australia 🇦🇺! Hoping our Aussie borders open soon .God bless
I set my leg on fire when I was 11. When I tried the Stop, Drop and Roll thing, the fire got worse . I just remember rolling around frantically thinking "WHY ISN'T THIS WORKING!" 😂
Quicksand...seriously I remember as a child making sure I knew what to do if I ever stepped in some. Must have been from all the hours of Duck Tales I watched. I was prepared for the unexpected! 😆
My mom told me daily that I would have arthritis if I popped my knuckles and I totally forgot about it until I saw this! More genius content. Great job!
Now days parents should be telling their kids to avoid that at all costs. Regardless of who you are millions of people are probably going to hate you. 😂🙈
LMFAOOOOO ALL ACCURATE!!! 🤣🤣🤣 AND THE COLLEGE ONE LITERALLY!!! 🤣🤣🤣 The door wouldn't be locked at all and yeah mostly the professor didn't come so class was cancelled!!!
Yeah, we all laugh, but we are going to end up doing and saying the same thing! XD we all end up becoming our parents when we become parents. ( most of the time)
what do you do?! STOP, DROP, and ROLL... because I love you guys! this is amazing trey Kennedy I have watched this at least 4 times! Stranger danger... stranger danger! 😂
Idk why everyone shits on cursive. It's so much faster and honestly more fun to write in than regular print! If we're only going to teach one in school it should be cursive
