Y’all gone hate what y’all hear. No offense or disrespect to him, I’m glad we have more music and new versions of these songs, but man the original was so great. The “unfinished” and uncertain nature to it really fit the time period that we were to go into the next day. IMPO RIP 3.15.20, Hello 2024 Bino !!! I’m still super excited tho lol
Track list 1. “0.00” - 00:00 2. “Algorhythm” - 02:59 3. “Time” - 06:31 4. “12.38” aka “Vibrate” - 12:38 5. “19.10” aka “Beautiful” - 19:10 6. “24.19” aka “Sweet Thing/Thank You” - 24:19 7. “32.22” aka “Warlords” - 32:22 8. “35.31” aka “ Little Foot, Big Foot, Get Out The Way” - 35:31 9. “39.28” aka “Why Go To The Party?” - 39:28 10. “42.26” aka “Feels Like Summer” - 42:26 11. “47.48” aka “The Violence” - 47:48 12. “53.49” aka “Under The Sun” - 53:49 NOTE: Some of the songs from the earlier release were nicknamed (hence the aka) and are labeled as numbers on the studio release
Can't be bothered The album was live-streamed about a week before this release, then it was wiped from the internet. The countdown timer was leading up to the release of those live-streamed songs as an official studio release. The number titles are the studio titles and the “aka (...)” titles are as they showed up on the livestream. There’s new music, just slight differences between the livestream version and this version.
Totally are. He worked with Rihanna (industry puppet) and released that shit on Amazon, one of the most evil companies on the planet. He's a sellout. He sold out. Accept it.
I was genuinely so sad about the change to to be hunted and the transition being gone. I will certainly be downloading this video and chopping it up to upload as a local file
There is literally zero way Gambino has begun to scratch the surface, musically. The man makes YOU want to live that much longer to be able to live through HIS peak to be able to look back at them as classics.

I'm a 45 year old white British guy who makes bad jokes and can't dance. I also work 11 hours a day in the local hospital and for the last 3 nights I've come home and listened this to on repeat with my eyes closed and found I have forgotten about everything from my day for a brief time. Thank you so much. I mean it.
It’s COVID-19 Call it by it’s real name. Stop saying Corona. Corona means about eight different things. It’s like calling Donald Glover, Trump. Because they both start with Donald so why not just call them both Trump, eh? COVID, ya fuckhead. You don’t HAVE to say the number, but like I said, if you want to be specific; there’s a LOT of other things called corona. Also corona virus is a whole class of viruses. It’s like saying you like pussy, but what you really meant is that you like cats. Be fucking clear. There’s a lot of corona viruses. This is the corona virus born in 2019. COVID-19, bitch.
Fr it makes me feel like my brain is clustered and unorganized then im hit with a sudden calmness. Its like coming out of a cave to the sunlight. I sometimes come to this album just for the first 4 tracks because they make me FEEL
I just can’t shake this one off, Donald. This prototypical masterpiece will always be the real “atavista” album. So many of us wish you had never deleted the original on music platforms, please never delete this. This and my vinyl are the only remnants of this beautiful trip. Love you ❤️

This is a special album to me, it fully released on my birthday in 2020. Because we were on the cusp of the pandemic, we couldn't have a meal out so instead I went for a run and listened to it for the first time in the sun, seemingly the only person in the world. Though facing uncertainty it was oddly calming and is one of many albums I associate fondly with that pandemic time. A shame it's been replaced, but I hope it always stays here
I remember I was in quarantine when this album came out and the whole day locked in a room (that was also completely white like the cover) I was listening to the songs on a loop... I feel the same way man
Revisiting this again after nearly a year. Thank you again Donald, this world wouldn't be the same without you or your music. I hope you're doing well.
In my opinion, this is the best Childish Gambino album so far. It truly feels like his magnum opus, there's not one bad song on this album and it's just a whole experience that takes you to a different place. I really don't see how people didn't click with this album immediately, but the fact that I did...I feel lucky.
@@kc12370 no. this albums shows his musical range more than any of his other albums. all songs sound different from one another. y’all just get turned off from the weird transitions. look a little deeper.
Two years of robbed life of billions of people through capitalistic media and a mass that is to coward to see the truth. What happend on 15.03.2020? What?
@@isaacmccall7162 i dont think its ground breaking personally but its super unique in his discog for sure gambino's discog as a c. llective whole is certainly a classic
@@streamvlogsdailyynah atavista is pure doo doo, an orgy of overproduction, less complex sounds (for the critics with zero brain cells), and the man has definitely stopped taking shrooms.
I think this version is stronger because it gives the feeling of a dystopian world- similar to how the world felt in 2020. I think Atavista is a strong pop record BUT 3.15.20 really builds a world around itself and feels way more cohesive in spite of the grosser mixes and strange transitions.
I feel like old versions of songs on here that didn't make it fully on to Atavista will be rereleased, though. I think 3.15.20 had this weird atmosphere unintentionally due to its unfinished nature, and Atavista is what we were intended to hear. However, they are two separate albums as of now.
I think this album works perfectly as a finale to the Childish Gambino persona. His first album “Camp” had themes of nostalgia & youth, what sound like poppy chords at times, and even formative years childhood stories. Beautiful string section samples, drums fills, etc. rap with more natural instrument fills. Then you get “Because the Internet” which among other things shows signs of maturity, noticing what friends are using you, struggling with identity, not letting yourself dwell on one part of your past and to keep accomplishing things. and it has a lot more technical and “digital” samples and backgrounds for the most part, not the traditional instrument samples found on Camp. Then you get “Awaken, My Love!” (My personal favorite) a lot of real instruments played. Donald went to Ludwig with a cool beat on a drum kit and built Redbone around it. CG really discovers his true vocal range/ ability on this album, a huge leap up from his singing on Camp (no disrespect, still a great album). AML also has beautiful instrument solos on Flutes, a Clavinet (baby boy) & a killer guitar solo. incredible producing and arranging in every song. Also covering ideas of Music Industry Execs trying to leach off of artists, a struggling marriage not using their child as a token in an argument, fatherhood, and intimate relationships trying to work out. plus he samples Funkadelic on Riot and it’s terrific. After that? You get this album. A perfect blend of all 3 themes. And the final 2 songs? He loves himself. He’s accepted himself and no longer struggles with his identity. With nothing left to prove, maybe he just makes music for himself. now he can more freely pursue other creative or business ventures.
@Lil Blaisy your name couldn't be anymore unoriginal and theres no way in hell you could ever make a song that beats even a single song made my childish Gambino. Even a song like dial up that has no lyrics is still produced better than anything you could make
Watched Atlanta and told myself "Let's listen to that Gambino now", I only chose this one because it was my birth day. Fell in love instantly with it, made me think of my father, felt a longing for a youth long gone, made me cry and laugh and dance. Now I'm scavenging the web to find some awesome vinyl of this cause... must... buy... expensive limited... edition !
Honorable move Mr. Glover. Thank you for making this accessible to all of us at this point in time. Came as a spectator/listener, left as a fan. To anyone reading this: Stay safe and be courteous of the less fortunate now and always. Might change your life. Proper Education Always Causes Elevation
damn, he literally used timestamps as the title of majority of the songs in this album. 1) 0:00 2) 2:59 ; Algorhythm 3) 6:31 ; Time 4) 12:38 5) 19:10 6) 24:19 7) 32:22 8) 35:31 9) 39:28 10) 42:26 11) 47:48 12) 53:49
This whole album is atmospheric, eerie, and musically incredible.... But... I do miss CG's verses. His early career when he felt he had to go hard to prove himself was straight fire. Lucky for me, they aren't going anywhere. Power to you if this is your jam.
DJ Robertson in case you run out of good Gambino rap, some of his really good more obscure stuff is in this ru-vid.com/group/PLbHa_p26TxYldPvfl0C5B6VlIG1qOGaTt
I also miss his raps so much. The freestyles he did on radio stations where he would just stop and talking in between and then go right back in too... This stuff by him is also incredible.
My ex passed of cancer when this dropped, and we were going through covid so it felt really dark listening to it. Kinda glad it was remastered as atavista now
My mom committed suicide the day this dropped and then my state shut down two days later. It felt like a dream dissociated in my living room with this playing in the background.
@@elyesejones8508 Honestly? I can easily take a screenshot, de-pixelized it and send it for printing, but that would be stealing intellectual property, and taking away business well-deserved from mr. Glover. NOT cool. Everyone gonna get their t-shirt and hoodie and go party once all this shit storm is over! :) So let's all be chill about it, aight? :)
I had the privilege in going to the "last tour" by myself, I was scared and nervous but with his church like performance I felt like I belonged there. It was such a performance that would stick with me for the rest of my life, I was so broke at that time I spent all of my check going to that concert it was so dumb. I really wish there was like a footage of his performance for I could come back and watch.
Let's be honest man theres more pressing stuff happening but dont sorry it will. And were this Coronavirus not around this would definitely be killing.
@@JoshTheTechnoShaman Dang bro, I hope you get better. Me and my dad are technically more susceptible as he's over 60 and I'm asthmatic, but were sure to social distance. Once again, I hope you get better, and remember we're all a community here for each other.
Donald Glover knows this is a time people need something nice in their lives and music can be a very comforting thing in a hard time. Thank you, Donald Glover.
literally the reason I’m listening to this version rn. I honestly hate that he remastered this album lol like why release this version if it wasn’t finished JUST TO FINISH IT FOUR YEARS LATER
3.15.20 is way better than Ativista in my opinion. All the madness that was removed is the punk edge that made this album incredible. It’s been shaven and polished. It’s been commercialized. Remove songs? What blasphemy. I love the songs that were removed. Some might argue that they weren’t even songs, just parts of the journey. This album is legendary, it’s release is esoteric and magical. Real ones felt it when it happened. I feel sorry for the ones who are tuning in just now, because they got the reboot.

@King Peppy You speak as if democrats are any better. The "liberal left" is precisely why Europe failed so miserably at preparing for this epidemic while the nationalist China handled it quickly.
