Never heard a song start out mellow, add a choir, switch the style and tempo 10 different times, take a brief pause, comes back on, and still ends up being on point to the fullest.

Cool fact: Gambino collaborated with producer Ludwig Goransson to make this album, the same person who produced the Black Panther soundtrack.

Anyone else notice how he alluded to his three biggest albums 3:32 - CAMP - Synth leads and gospel choir. 4:15 - Because The Internet - Spacey tech influenced electronica with a dark feeling. 4:42 - Kauai - His own singing, natural instrumentation guitar, clapping, and bongos.

Donald is a Renaissance man.

One of the most important things about this album is adaptability. If you came to this because you are a fan of his rap, this isn't for you. It's not your genre. You must adapt to different sounds. This is really good for it's genre, but if you don't listen to music like this, this album won't sound that good to you. I like it, although I personally like his rapping more. I love his style of singing and I wish more of the Me And Your Mama voice shone through. Additionally, I wish he used his real voice more like he did here, where I can hear him clear. I'm sure Genius is hard at work decoding every last lyric of this project, and I can't wait to find out more. I would love an album from him where he mixes hip hop into this style he has now, but that's just a dream. His last album had a great story to it, and I would love that as well. I'm not a critic and can't really judge something like this, but I'd I had to give it a number score, 8.5/10. Hopefully, this isn't Gambino's last project. Until something new happens, I'm gonna continue watching Atlanta.

I love how Childish Gambino and J. Cole dropped some oxygen last night/today and for 2 to 8 minutes per song we all(most of us) can forget about racism, the 2016 election, etc for a moment. the album is just a trance journey of a nights sleep. You start to fall into the trance at the beginning of the album and the dream starts and gets progressively more trance like as the album continues reaching a trance peak at California from which point it goes on lessening in its trance like quality in an elucidatory manner and then stand tall cuts off randomly like waking up at the end of the dream

4:50 sounds so beautiful especially with the beat coming in like that

What's interesting about this song's ending is at Pharos, it never went back to instruments and Gambino singing like it does here, with that groovy, warm feel. It continues the spooky space sound (without flutes this time) with cool effects and it gets even crazier and louder, ending on a trippy warping sound and fading.

4:15 His bringing together of two completely different musical devices juxtapose for emphasis on the idea he is trying to get across. The electronic sound with the flute thing sound like the togetherness of nature and technology, but in the past, maybe? "There is more out there." This line needs more attention.

I'm actually in love with this entire album.

This kinda reminds me of The Love Below when André really expressed himself. It's refreshing to know Gambino is making music straight from the soul.
