Young boys make up about 36% of child sex trafficking victims in the US. Human trafficking is a HUGE multi-billion dollar industry all over the world, including first world countries. The sex industry in particular is flourishing and needs to be HANDLED! These traffickers go after the most vulnerable people in society, mostly women and children, but that's not to overlook or devalue the victimization of males, who are also at risk of exploitation if they are put in a position of desperation or poverty or abuse.

Tell them to show it to you, but cover up their personal information. Just the picture and birthday is enough. They actually have an app now, not for identifying underage prostitutes, but anytime you need to prove your age online or something and don't want your identity revealed, you can scan your ID and the app will cover the personal information. Also, you could drive to 7-11 and ask the girl to go in the store and pick you up a pack of smokes. The clerk will ask her for ID and run it through a scanner that shows if the ID is legit or not. And finally, look at the girl. You can generally see if they are of legal age or not. I know some girls look much older than they are and some very young looking girl who appears 12 is actually 26, but for the most part you can tell. These guys are trying to find underage girls.
this video hits so close to home for me. I am not sure if what I went through considered trafficking but my parent started prostituting me out when I was 4. I was one of the lucky ones and my neighbors reported suspicions about the older men that I would come and go with and I was taken from school one day. my mother also started me on method and heroine at this time. when this was happening I did not know that it was wrong. thought that every body did this and that was just how it was. when I was taken I was scared and so heart broken. I thought my dad is going to be so mad and I'm going to get whooped tonight. then I realized I was never going to see him or my brothers ever again. I spent years in a residential hospital because I had to be completely reprogrammed. I still suffer from massive ptsd and flashbacks and night terrors. I want to thank you for sharing this video because if one trafficked child see's this and tells someone in authority positions and can be saved than it makes a world of difference. thank you for opening up peoples eyes and making them aware that this is real and it does happen here.

Why are victims of sex trafficking ARRESTED for prostitution? They don't mention this in this doc now do they? No other trafficking victims are arrested when 'rescued'. Another thing they don't mention is how law enforcement can have sexual contact with minors and adults- during stings to arrest them. Didn't you see them putting handcuffs on them? Wow! Every time I watch anything about sex trafficking I remember about the time I was 19, on the bus in Cali, when I was approached by what I think was a pimp now... He kept wanting to get to know me then he told me that he wanted to meet up with me at a hotel to talk. I am so glad you had this New story. There is so much that needs to be told about this. One of the things that frustrates me is that there are more animal shelters in most cities in the U.S. than there are safe houses in the whole country. This is one of the reasons that many of victims refuse help. Without a safe place to go ( this part tears my heart out) it is safer for victims to stay in trafficking than to try to get out only to go back to the same life and be punished by their trafficker for trying to leave.

It's 2019 and wosre than a year ago but Trump admin is going after them. So far 8,000 caught across our country and hundreds of children found and freed but so many millions are out there some where.
this made my heart hurt so much....the rawness, realness of soooo many young children's reality behind closed doors in a place that should be their safe place, their home. Sending you so much love and support...I come from a similar background in the dirty, dark drug world and that led from one thing to another and soon I started seeing things I'd never thought I'd see. so many girls traded for drugs or to be demeaned enough to feel like they have to give up that part if their self for a fix. Drugs turns the mind on itself. It numbs out all of our senses to know that something is not right, the pain and shame we find ourselves running from. and I want to say that this has to stop... I know from experience you ask yourself why me? what did I do to deserve this? what could I have done differently....or the always statement...it was my fault somehow. and slowly you feel like well this is must be what I deserve and so your self worth starts being measured by that... but I want these girls or anyone in these situations to always remember our past and the life we once lived doesn't define who we are or who we can become. we are more powerful than we could ever imagine. if any of you ever need someone to talk to , or just to listen I am always a few clicks away! 🙌🙏❤

So tragic and yet so hopeful .in the US and UK and Canada and every where else we need more people to help and love these young girls out of this repugnant situation.
That was excellent. Atlanta, so close to me, I guess I knew it had a lot of bad things going on, a lot of clubs and drugs. But I never realized how many bad things, how many demonic people are out there. When you don't live in a way that comes in contact with these types of things, you just don't see it. But then I just looked at my local news, and two people--a man and a woman--were just arrested for getting four young girls off facebook, enticing them to come to a hotel near me, and they were turning tricks for the two adults all weekend long. Luckily, they were arrested and the girls are safe--for now. I pray they do not return to this down the line. It is hard enough for Americans to get out of this mess--what about the girls and women trafficked here from other countries, who don't speak English and are unable to reach out, to anyone? The more I learn about this, the more this is becoming my new issue. I want to spread the word to everyone I know. That woman who was kidnapped in California while jogging. A woman saw her at a gas station and noticed something was wrong and went up to the car. Would I have the nerve to do that? Would i find the right words to say? Would I be able to spot it?
Jada, thank you for being an advocate for this program. Although, I've been very fortunate for this not happening to me. I did get molested by brother and back then it was something not to be told to our parents. I'm 53 and have struggled in relationships. In my 3 marriages I suffered mental and physical abuse. Now, I'm stronger and can talk about it. I'm so glad today there is help out there for victims. Your so right about the epidemics that need to be broken. Doctor's offices ask "do you feel safe at home"? People ( men and women) have a voice now against domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, etc. And the nasty men that participate are demented. Thank you again. Michelle A survivor....
I appreciate this documentary and praise all involved for spreading the message. However, it absolutely positively DOES NOT always begin at home. Im sure the forensic psychologist has done tons of research, however to narrow it down to children who " runaway or to those not valued " is BS. Teenagers can be very dramatic. A teen who got in an argument with her best friend or just broke up with her boyfriend, can send clear signs of depression to people who prey on the vulnerable. It only takes a second. Please, everyone needs to be aware. Not only the less fortunate.

Being a police officer is a thankless job. You have to play against stereotypes, pay for others mistakes or ignorance, take the abuse for people who can't accept responsibility for their actions. Once again another show taking about this and not trying to find out why these teenagers are being abused. Child sex trafficking is wrong and something has to get done with the people who is having these kids doing this. At the same time mothers have to make better choices before having children with males who aren't worthy of being fathers. For example women with low self esteem should NO way think about having kids until she gets the help she needs mentally. I guess that would be only in the perfect world when women would be held accountable for her actions. As far as the adult women sex workers guess what that's on you because you can walk away at anytime. This world will NEVER be a perfect place at anytime it was that way through history and it will continue. So mothers make better decisions on who you have kids with or wait until you are able to take care of your family financially and you are able to show the LOVE your kids deserve.
i agree that it starts in your home life i was abused in my house and emotionally damaged i ended up living in a homeless youth shelter one day i was standing outside at the front of the shelter and a pretty girl approached me she had to be 25 years old i was 17 at the time she began to tell me i was pretty i was nice she offered me free clothes and makeup i went with her to her house which was a long bus ride there i sat and talked with her for a bit and there was a knock on the door 2 to 3 men came in a she said hold on a sec she went in the kitchen to talk to them and they spoke in a different language she came back and told me to go home gave me bus money and i left i didnt think nothing of it there was no sense of something amiss about 20 yrs later i see on the news that girls are being trafficked out of that same shelter im not 100 percent sure if thats what it was for me but it seems to add up as that and i never seen girl before that or after that happened im come to know jesus and have given my life to him i thank him that i narrowly escaped that from what i see you dont just get to leave and go home to all the parents out there reading this which im a parent now too nurture your childrens soul with love and care not with abuse of anymore otherwise you are setting them up for this you might as well drop them off at the front door of the trafficker and walking away cuz thats what your do in actions and words
