Children in Jeopardy: Vivienne’s Story | Cook Children's Health Plan 

14-year-old Vivenne Molen is one of nearly 125,000 Cook Children’s Health Plan (CCHP) members who could lose health care coverage if Texas Health and Human Services (@texashhsc )stands by its decision to exclude CCHP from the new STAR/CHIP contract starting in September 2025.
A loss of coverage could lead to gaps in care, including patients losing their doctors, and appointments, delayed procedures, and inability to afford prescription medications.
“It would be devastating,” Tricia Moon, Vivienne’s mother, said. “It definitely is just an added stress that looms in the background that I don’t wish upon Vivienne or any family.”
