Only if he knew that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who handles sin for mankind, both believer and unbeliever. Otherwise he is gnashing his teeth in hell as he awaits his final doom before being cast into the Lake of Fire.
I bet I could play this to some metalhead who didn't know classical music and they'd think it was a legit metal solo. This totally demonstrates how similar the writing structures for metal and classical are, and how all of the good metal writers have a lot of classical influence. Awesome.
Can't wait to show this to my future kids. Still makes me fking sad... At least I could see him live 3 times. RIP Master Laiho. Your music will never be forgotten.
Alexis music was always so damn important to me. Throughout middle school it was just one of the few things that got me through life. I’m already missing him. Shit breaks my heart.
You can tell these guys are talented because of their ability to play classical music on an electric guitar and make it sound like the original. You rock Alexi and Roope!
This is absolutely mindblowing and out of this world beautiful. This band consists of awesome musicians that are truly dedicated to what they are doing. The synchronisity between them shows, and each one of their songs is a master piece.
The amount of time I watched this series back in the day and his guitar world stuff, brings back good memories from lots of time spent practicing, RIP Alexi miss you brotha.
Vivaldi is headbanging in his grave, long live to this music. I mean what can be better than rock, classical music, metal,, especially when it's combained...
This is honestly the best guitar playing I've ever seen. These two had/have talent beyond compare. Literally how do you make two guitars make those noises??
If these guys- and I'll throw in bands like Dimmu Borgir and Opeth- had lived in the 16th, 17th, 18th centuries- they would be composing the same music as the great classical composers, and vice versa.
+Cleatus Van Damne Exactly. I came to the conclusion while listening to Winter that it would be metal as fuck if played on an electric guitar. Found the Dark Moor cover minutes later and confirmed my theory. Not found a bad cover yet.
I remember back then in early youtube, people are arguing that this is fake and just being dubbed. Alexi, you're one hell of a legend. Thank you for your music.
This is amazing! Metal + Classical = EPIC WIN! My favourite types of music are classical, rock, metal, and flamenco. This is just ....... No words, seriously.
when they came to minneapolis in october, me and my friend were the only people at the concert who got to meet them! We talked with alexi and roope for like ten minutes! best thing ever
i think they can play even faster than this tempo for sure. they are shredders after all. it's actually harder to maintain a steady slow tempo like this, which makes this even more amazing
Those guys sold their souls at the crossroads to produce something like this. One has already paid the last installment, and the other is close to it... Let's remember that when we enjoy the result of redeeming the price. R.I.P Alex!
This is from before symphonies, Its from a series of concertos called the "four seasons" written by Antonio Vivaldi. This is the third movement of summer and it sounds as awesome as ever!!!
Fantastic. That's what I love about COB's music most, when they have parts of classical music in it. The Magic Flute tune in "Hatebreeder" gives me goosebumbs every time. Is this on any CD of them? I assume, they didn't do versions of the othre three parts, too?
"What jazz musicians did was alter the chords that were used in blues and classical music to create interesting and unique harmony" What about the other aspects of jazz? Jazz has different instrumentation, doesn't use many of the forms that classical music uses, has a rhythmic style that's quite different from most classical music, and focuses on improvisation. Just because Jazz uses a lot of the music theories that have been developed by classical composer, doesn't make it classical.
how does anyone not like this..?? i wish they would do a classical CD someday.. and..... if i was a world class skater from Finland, i would definately use this "classic" piece for a short program... .
any person who says that metal takes no talent is just a bunch of noise needs to watch this video and appreciate the skills and talents that these musicians have
Same. And every time I still don’t know how Roope’s guitar seriously sounds exactly like a violin. Like I can hear the picking, but whatever settings he has is perfect
Follow the Reaper was my first album, and then Are You Dead Yet? and then I went backwards (this was 06 I believe, not that long ago but memory sucks haha). It's still tough to listen, but I'm so happy I got to see Something Wild's 20th anniversary tour
@BrandonShayMusic True words. Classical is simply the purest, most sophisticated form of music. But some of the artists within the melodic death metal genre are among the best musicians/songwriters you will ever find outside of the classical genre.
