For many years I used the tag "Blooddrunk" as a competitive battlefield player, today I never touch that account again and I play this song on repeat for you Alexi Laiho RIP
Pretty crazy how young he was when this band started. That alcohol shit is terrible. His death, along with some other people I’ve seen made me change some things.
yeah, atleast that's what I heard from the people around me, I was pretty young back then and just got into CoB. Everyone said that Blooddrunk was not death-melo anymore but "thrash melo" and that was a poser move etc... eh, that was the vibe of the era @@Baguette12349
Right now, after a long time ... i think its cobs best album, nexto to HCDR. Funny that i hated it when it came out, i was that classic "first 3 albums only" elitist.
This was the first Bodom song I ever heard. Alexi always had both a vocal and instrumental talent unlike anything I'd heard at the time. He will be sorely missed. Pouring one for you tonight, wild child. Blooddrunk.
I know this song s meaning. 2008 to 2012 i think. Alexi is suffered from ulcers because of drinking. He wrote this song because of it.... R.I.P legend😢
Heartbreaking to see Alexi go. I remember the day that kid in highschool told me to check out COB and once I heard his playing I rushed out to buy this album. Then once I had it, I played it incessantly. Every issue of Guitar World with Alexi in it usually was in my hands. Truly one of the few who became a personal guitar hero to me and truly had an effect on my life.
This was my childhood band. I was always on the edge of my seat waiting for new music from them ever since 2008. This is my favorite song and I’m forever saddened by the loss of Alexi last December. He was my guitar hero and inspiration outside of Dimebag. Forever remembered and missed.
Alexi's vocals reminds me of Chuck Schuldiners and I think that's why I fell in love with this band, also the bad ass riffs he lays down are just out of this world wickedly sick!
RIP Wild child. This band was one of the main reasons I got into heavy music and music as a whole. One of my main inspirations to pick up a guitar too.
The world lost a phenomenal song writer and one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Memories and Alexi’s music will live forever. speechless and tried not to cry but couldn't. rest in peace my favorite guitar player :( ~everytime I die (1979-2020)🇫🇮 we 🇲🇨fans love you🤘🏾😭
@Jaxon Epperson i don't think it was death as much as it was Dissection, Marduk, Opeth etc that influenced COB. Cob's early work is literally just more polished Dissection songs.
Wild Child. Never spent money on a record before I heard this man’s playing. Him and Roope are the lifeblood to how I approach the guitar. Janne taught me melody growing up, and Samuli and Jaska helped me learn to feel those tight rhythms. The world has lost a true gift today and I hope Alrxi’s fam finds strength and peace in these hard times. Never shed a tear for someone I didn’t personally know, but RIP Alexi.
Alexi was the only person who inspire me to learn about guitar skills, techniques, scales, amps, gears.. and so on.. that man taught me A LOT. I was so SHOCKED when I heard the news.. are you kidding me 2021.. Rest In Peace Legend.. :(
[Spoken intro:] They say drinking is a way to die, But at the end... dying is a way to drink, that's why... Unquenchable thirst burns you inside The ruins of already burnt out mind Inexhaustable craving for something You're already crying. [Bridge:] Degenerate drunk with a razor blade Strung out spilling your own blood. Exterminate scars already made. Ready for another drink, can you wait? Detoxing, here come the withdrawals. [Whispering:] Maybe you've gone too far. Deep within things are getting hot Can't deny, take another shot. [Chorus:] Blooddrunk - wasted again. All inside your pain will fade Blooddrunk - you call me insane. Degenerate bloodrunk with a razor blade. [Solos] [Bridge] [Chorus x2
One of the very first extreme metal bands I ever fell for and a bonding point for me and so many of my friends. An absolutely crushing loss. R. I.P. Alexi . Thank you for everything.
Rest in peace Alexi you were one of my role models in Guitar and I can't thank you enough for that. Not only me but the rest of the COB Fans. We will always have you in our Hearts '🤘🏻🖤Rock On🖤🤘🏻'
Man this brings me back in grade 9 I would come home for lunch and watch MTVs Loud (back when they played good music on tv) this song wound come on and Amon Amarth Guardians Of Asguard
I totally forgot about these guys, haven't listened to them in years. Damn phase where I went to post hardcore/metalcore shit distracted me for a few years. Fuck bands like asking alexandria, of mice and men, ect. This is the good shit. Lamb Of God is the shit too.
Killerdead Heard of all of those. Breakdown Of Sanity is one of my favorite bands. When Silence Breaks is one of my favorite songs by them. But I'm talking about bands like asking alexandria, of mice and men, crown the empire. I don't like those kinds of bands anymore. They all sound generic to me.
+SilentSniper How can you go wrong with a title like "Blooddrunk"? That's just bad-ass. These guys are like if Motley Crue went to Hell, and Hell kicked them out.... as Children of Bodom. Hella-Fun!
