No, Follow The Reaper is the best album, Hatebreeder is 2 nd or third. Some ppl think Hate Crew Deathroll is better than Hatebreeder. I love all those 3 albums very much
Cant believe he passed away...Rest in peace, wildchild, youll never be forgotten. Love your music, you helped me a lot in very difficult times. CoB was a huge part of my youth and still to this date I listen to your records, especially the old ones! What a musician :( Once again: rest in peace...
Man. This man was my hero in my teens I’m so grateful to have seen bodom a bunch of times. Nothing has come close musically since in terms of their unique style!
The Coolest part I've Seen In The Band Is That Their Fans Just Love Them Even if the lead singer is focusing on his guitar and singing at the same time instead of concerntrating on the crowd...he is really a a great guy and to the rest of the band...their fantastic
Underrated! Dude he is widely considered to be one of the greatest guitar players of all time, and one of the finest metal players. No one who knows anything about guitar underrates him.
Damn, I miss this era of COB! They were more melodic and creative back then, and on "Follow The Reaper", they had perfected it all. With songs like Everytime I Die, Bodom After Midnight, Mask Of Sanity, Children Of Decadence, Hate Me, Follow The Reaper & Taste Of My Scythe, COB created something beautiful :o -They are still good, but have become too mainstream I think, taking the more extreme approach musically :/
Barış Arda Aslan well few bands are like Ulver in perfecting different types of music without going to easy generic stuff. but that's their right anyway.
Glad I got to see you guys twice. This is my favourite album and one of the favourite songs from you. Thank you for the music and rest in peace Alexi! /,,/
Alexi was a genius, underrated for his guttural voice, but an extraordinary guitarist and composer. I listen to C.o.B. since I was 14 and now I'm 37 and my opinion about his brilliance has never changed.
I was class 7 or class 8 when I first listened to metal music. And COB was my most favourite band. I even got caught for exchanging CDs with my friends. Love you COB!
Alexi Laiho was one freaking talented man. Great vocals, insane guitar player and to top it all, he was such a cool dude who was just right at home as a frontman.
Damnit I miss you Alexi! I was at your first show in America in Austin. I got to play on that stage after you. You were a huge inspiration on my guitar playing. Legends will live forever. 🤘
@@blakestormcrow6275 yea i know and he is legend! just wanted to get the rest of the band some credit aswell... i wish i would have experienced cob earlier! rip alexi
Sem dúvidas ... Alexi laiho foi o melhor guitarrista de death metal melódico que já existiu , até o Kerry King(Slayer) disse " Alexi era um deus na guitarra"!😢😢😢😢😢😢 Muita saudade mesmo !! R.I.P. Alexi , sua música viverá eternamente em nossos corações!!!
Unreal. I can't believe that was a live performance. Absolutely blows my mind. I could sit here and tell you if I was blind that I could swear it was recorded in a studio, but around 1 minute the audience is the only part that gives it away. Superb band and performance.
Blo0dredRidingHo0d wht ever that is; i rarely have any idea of music terms, but i like that 23 sec in all video..... their stage performances r better than their album performances- its my personal opinion. but i like their sounds better than any other except LP, lol thank for reply and thank u. :)
"Follow the Reaper", "Hate Me", and "War Heart" were the first Bodom songs I heard and I have followed them for years since I heard them. Great Vid and greater song.
[1.] Loosing the war I'm feining to win though I never tried to to strive deep from within. Life could be beautiful for anybody it's for, but I'd swear this mothafuckin' shit is rotten to the core. [Prech.] The portal has been past and it's time to make a turn, to follow the reaper until the point of no return. [Ch.] When your blindly death-raying blade sweeps the griefs and fears away. I cross my heart and hope to die thy freedom will be mine. [2.] Sinking down in the ocean of severe emotions. Grab a bottle to drink up the pain-relieving potion. But after all, that got boring too, so no matter what happens, I couldn't give a damn or too. [Prech.2.] The portal has been past 'til the point of no return. No more lines to cross, no more bridges to burn. [Ch.2.] Now when your blindly death-raying blade swept my griefs and tears away. I'd never go back to cross that line. I cross my heart and hope to die.
I love how children of bodom is what happens when you make really heavy metal but with the musicality of a film composer. 3:15 is one of the best harmonies ever.
I went to their Concert with Megadeth in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 incredible concert, I was 14 years old and I used to follow Alexi alot, now I just realize he died,GUYS WE HAVE TO FUCKING LIVE and get advantage of opportunities while we are in this world, happy Journey Alexi 🤟🏽
@SilverNL92 I totally agree. An awesome introduction to the album. Love how it makes use of the keyboardist as well not just "screamo" or all solos, very balanced and has an incredible feel to it. Also, love how in the video they go from Bodom after Midnight into Reaper! Must have blown people's minds.
I remember I bought bangles like that with a spike bracelet an then a black metal blade wrist band on my other wrist,a black handkerchief in my back back an a wallet with multiple chains and had a chain and lil bike lock as a necklace lol begged my gma to get me that guitar an played tip my fingers bled. He was my idol. Holy fuck I miss being a kid so bad lol
