I was there! I had just turned 16 and went there with four of my friends; it was by far the highlight of my year. It was so sweaty in that small hall! My shirt was soaked, I got hit in the face (the irony) and was hit by Alexi's water bottle. Fond memories! The song list was superb, if they'd have played "If You Want Peace.. Prepare for War" it would have been perfect! Very nostalgic to watch this, R.I.P Alexi.
Definitely one of the best metal bands ever, Alexi laiho was easily the best metal guitarist in the world, R.I.P Alexi laiho, we'll never forget you brother 🤘
@@timetoshred2461 Having a great technique doesn't equal being a great musician. Alexi was a pioneer and wrote amazing melodies and solos, Muhammed is just another copy paste technical player, very good but that's it.
It is very sad to think about that there is no more Children of Bodom, no more Nosturi venue because it is demolished and the most important no more Alexi Laiho. : ( Fortunately we still have the music, and it will live forever!

Dear Alexi, You and Daron (SOAD) are the reason I have been a guitarist for since 2004. RIP and thank you the joy you brought into my life. I hope we get to meet in Hel brother.
Man exactly the same! Alexi and Daron are the two guitarists that got me into buying a guitar 15years ago! And so glad i did, as i can now play most of COB and SOAD songs
Had the honor of seeing Bodom open for Black Label Society in 2009, got on barrier after a few songs, and clapped hands with the keyboard player and drummer after their set. Still respect their songwriting and skill as musicians even 15 years later.

One of my favorite memory I HAVE......being a young teenager and attending a Children of Bodom show back in 2007 in Santa Ana and Head Banging in the Front during their whole set 🤘COBHC 🤘
I was there and man I was 12 years old back then! It was my very first time seeing COB. I also saw Bodom after Midnight on the 25th of October 2020 in Tavastia, which is now known as Alexis's last show. Time really flies, when you're having blast. You can find Downfall recorded from the last gig if you enter my channel. RIP Alexi, you're one of the biggest influencers in my entire life
I saw them in the US shortly after this on their tour with Amon Amarth and Trivium and then again the very next year with Amon Amarth and Gojira. I probably saw them 7-8 times over a 5 year span. Borderline worshipped these guys. RIP Alexi
All through out high school theater it was in class or on the walk home I would listen 2 children of Bodom on my mp3 player I can't believe that it has already been 15 years ago since those days and then playing a mix of there songs I made in my first car blasting "bodom beach terror" in my 199iford expedition on so many trips through the city and on the way to the beach..so crazy how time flies by without even realizing it RIP alexi laiho And make sure to take a shot of some black tooth grin with dimebag darrell and vinnie Paul, Paul grey, chester bennington, chris Cornell, cliff burton, Eddie van Halen, and all the other musicians we've lost on earth that are no longer playing there instruments here with us and are now playing a song looking down on us in heaven. ..god bless...and rip
Iv have cherich and love your music since i was 15. Im now 31 and i will cherich, love and worship it till the day i die. Thnk you children of bodom and rest in peace Alexi we love you all!! 🤘🤘
i cant think of anything more depressing than hearing about Alexi passing away...fuck... metal lost a great guitar player and a great guy... he will be missed.
Yeah, he easily played leads while singing. The small fill in Living Dead Beat at 02:50 just before the chorus hits is also played by Alexi while he sings the "We're ardent, we're burning down" lyric. It's insane how he was able to switch between rhythm and lead and not miss a single beat without even looking at the guitar and singing at the same time...
So prodigious when I listen to that, and that I also listen to so many artists of this musical universe today who are born original and die like pale photocopies !
Blasting my ears tonight, the only way I know how to do that. This album is near the years I used to listen to your music. Still in love with the energy after all these years. Favorite metal band for sure. Many regrets to never see you guys on stage. Rest in peace Alexi. I hope the band is well. I know my french friends and me used to do stupid shit at the time listening to that but overall, the energy man, that crazy performance and TASTE in this often dull and insensitive metal world.
Nosturi I’d have to sight see next time I’m in a Finland Alexi does mention this venue as one of the first Bodom gigs here opening for Dimmu I think something like that before finally headlining here
It has been demolished :( They did their first opening for Dimmu in Lepakko, which doesn't exist anymore either. There is one legendary place still left in Helsinki, which is called Tavastia
Stop clout baiting with comments and enjoy the fucking music already, damnit Laiho wouldn't give one damn about 'likes', its about PASSION. Be here for the MUSIC!!!
