Link to the hair makeup: go.magik.ly/ml/10pbt/ Update: I slept in a bonnet so I did not get stains on my pillow. I got some transfer but nothing off putting. I scratched my scalp and when I glanced at my shoulder, some of the gel came off as small flakes. It was easily brushed off so I wasn’t mad about it. BUT. If your have longer hair that rubs against your clothing, I’m concerned you may get transfer on your clothing! If your hair is longer, I suggest watching reviews from people with longer hair to see if they experienced transfer or their shoulders or backs.

Ha, ha! We'll tune in some day and you'll have a virtual rainbow going on! It came out so good on your hair I've seen other yters use it but their hair was lighter in colour so was v interested to see how it came out on black hair. My hair is jet black too (well with a big grey streak at the front now and several grey bits throughout that just LOVE to stand out on their own and wave to the world "Hey see me?") Faye I don't know how I never noticed before but your eyes are absolutely stunning. Congrats on your play button. Looking forward to the next video as always. Keep up the good work

Hi Faye! Curlsmith has a in shower style fixer which is a shower gel that give very good hold. Try that next time and then apply the color and that might work better than wetline

Applying the cap is deep conditioning. Deep conditioning is the process of adding heat to lift the cuticle. I deep condition with my creamy leave-in mix all the time and love it.

I love this stuff! Congrats on your plaque! You can even apply it once it’s dry for more vibrancy especially with the other colors. You can mix colors. Curlsmith is awesome and great ingredients for your hair

You can mix the colors to make new ones. I like mixing the red and copper. If you mix the red and blue you can make purple. It's pretty cool! You look great in the copper by the way!

Congratulations on your plaque! I had a disastrous experience with the hair makeup, but I just used it alone, with no gel. I'm going to give it one more shot with some Wetline and see if my results will be more like yours, because your hair looked absolutely stunning.

@@FayeInTheCity Girl ... I do have a video on it, but the gel was like water on my hair and it just frizzed up and then flaked so badly I had to wash it out the same day! Now, I was trying to follow the directions and only use it by itself, but my type four hair was NOT having it. I also had no luster, no shine, no nothing, and I'm starting to wonder if it was the color I used (rose gold) and not necessarily the product? I'm going to buy the copper color you used along with the wetline and hopefully it will give me similar results! Thanks so much for the video, you've given me hope now!

I have used the Ruby, Copper, Turquoise, and Rose Gold individually. I mixed the Turquoise and Ruby for a purple look. I used a little Ruby in with the Rose Gold. Mix and have some fun too! Even though it says to put on wet hair...I do it a little differently. I style my hair using my gel and start to let it dry, then put the color in. Have fun!

So glad to see you review this! I bought the copper color after watching M.A.D Curls. And like you said my texture is more like yours. It is bomb! I used it over my gel too. No flaking, color stayed vibrant. It washed out no problem. I'm getting Ruby next

You should also check out Gemini Naturals. They're a small black woman owned colored curly hair gel line. They have like close to 15 colors available too. I have a bunch of their colored curl gels and they work great and give good curl definition. NJ Eberhart uses them a lot, so that's how I got put on to them.

I’m not one for colored gels BUT sis if you haven’t tried curlsmith products in general you MUST. The curl soufflé is goddamn magical and so is their intense treatment serum. The serum is like a balm really and it’s the love of my life as a finisher. I can’t live without it. It can be used for pretty much anything. Prepoo finisher leave in overnight mask it’s everything
