Johnny is 100% right, Howlin Ray's has great food, but the reason I keep going back is that the people make me feel at home. And they do also have Fried chicken without any spice, which is one of the best fried chickens I've ever had.

That was awesome Chili Klaus. There is a place similar to that near where I live, that has Nashville style chicken. They used to have a wing challenge, with whole chicken wings coated in an extract sauce. They stopped doing it for safety reasons. I like that Howlin' Rays uses actual peppers like Carolina Reaper instead of extract. The extract based sauces taste awful. Looks like you had a lot of fun there, and the crew really loves you.

Johnny Ray Zone is honestly one of the nicest guys. I’ve been to HR 7 times and he is always there up front greeting and talking with every single customer. The 3 hour line, as crazy as it might sound, is worth it. Chili Klaus is the man.

There are people who visit this place on the weekly without ever trying the howling. I think that's a waste, even if you can't handle spicy you gotta experience this at least once in your life. Anyways, I waited 3 hours from 8-11 and the place opened at ten on a sunday morning. Their chicken is just really good.
