Yeah I use an Occatur deep space transport for 90% of my hauling; and in an Obelisk freighter for when I have a bulk m3 haul. Mostly do hub to hub day trading. But i've been wanting to get into some low sec stuff. I have the training for a Viator, but still a bit more training needed for the cloak and to lower my power grid issues.
@@Wisenbrow Ultra safe way is get a Deep Space Transport (Impel/Bustard/Occator/Mastadon) and a scouting alt/friend (preferably in a Cov Ops ship or even a shuttle), or a Blockade runner (Prorator/Prowler/Crane/Viator). The DST can catty a lot more than a BR, the BR is much safer, season to taste.
Didn't need the information but stayed because I'm impressed with your skill at all this (this meaning: making videos like these and presenting everything so clear and to the point).
o7 Our grp act as a police force so if ppl get ganked on the undock or around Jita they can give us the KR so we can hunt the gankers down. ALSO! If there is one thing new pilots (and even old players tbh) needs to start using is an INSTA Undock and INSTA Dock from Jita. Biggest tip tbh!
With Blockade Runners 99% of their defense resides in their ability to cloak in 1 server tick after initiating the pre-warp acceleration. Even if the align time is 4-5 seconds, the important part is you, the player hitting cloak the instant you can after the ship starts to accelerate into warp. You can get popped no matter what tank you fit, so I fit for 'slippery' and cargo capacity instead. Bottom line is no matter how you are fitted, if you get caught, yer dead.
Agreed, for me shields are irrelevant on a blockade runner. If they lock on I am dead. So I like to have Covert ops Cloak and Interdiction nullifier in the high slot, medium slot is not important and in the low slots I put cargo expanders if I need more room, if not than I just fill it with inertia stabilisers so I can align quicker. And for rigs I just like to make my ship warp faster for faster travel so I use Hyperspatial velocity optimiser ( think that is what it is called, I would have to check).
Thanks, Loru! I like your channel. You have really good knowledge and explain it in a simple and fun way. I will be tuning in to all of your vids. Thanks again!
here is the mistake. The cruiser sized transports are usually ganked by Tornadoes using quake cannons. That means that most of your damage taken will be explosive. Also, btw, mission items are not ganked usually.
I had a sunesis for ten minutes and on my way back from Jita someone actually caught me with a less then two second warp speed and popped me. fastest i've ever lost 30 mil lol but it was worth it just to see someone catch me with that align time
Can't say I quite approve of the fit, but it's not bad. The shield extenders need to go, they will increase your sig radius and let gankers lock you faster. Overheating resist modules would be better if you are aming for tank. Speaking of tank, your point is to have a tiny defense against gankers with the defense control 2. This is valid, but if your point is to avoid gankers, another warp stabilizer will suit your purposes much better. It's highly unlikely you can tank gankers, haulers often follow the Same rule as Explorers, if you are caught, you are dead. Unless you are in the haulers with boosts to overheating.
I actually find these really fun. I just use my Badger though with an empty clone. Your not really risking anything hauling NPC goods and getting blown up just dumps me back in Jita to fit my next ship. You get to go everywhere giving Zero effs or worrying about the next mission lol. Just fast and furious jumping around watching Netflix.
I think the hauling option for just "go wherever it takes you" sounds fun, but aren't there different companies with different standings? How do you increase standing with all? Or is it try to gain standing with a particular faction? That's kinda what confuses me
What u use mostly the LPs for? buying stuff and sell at market to make additional isk or? And another question, do you have a cheap ship in order to practice the MWD-Cloak trick that I could use for hual'in like level 2/3 mission with and get the skills to insta warp? Btw, my favorite Eve contents is urs! Keep em coming *Swoosh*
Do you think you could do like a day 1 hauling guide, like how to get from start no standings no isk to this fit. Don't know how many people would be interested but I would be. Thanks for another great video! What faction(s) do you recommend for LP?
Something odd with this fit is the 4.04 s align time. This is bad because of the server ticks. Everything work in increments of 2 sec, so if you are not sub 4, you are going to take 6 second to align
Hum, with the covert ops cloaking device, you don't need the MWD+Cloak trick, you can just hit JUMP or DOCK and hit clock as soon as you start moving. That's the whole point of this module: to warp while you're cloaked. You don't care if it takes a while to align as you're cloaked! So in essence: you just do this: 1. Hit jump or dock 2. As soon as ship starts to move, hit cloak 3. To avoid delays as you arrive, uncloak mid-warp or you'll have the uncloak message because you're closer than 2,500m of an object and will need to hit dock or jump again (sometimes it lags). It also helps to go in 1st person view to see when the ship starts to move.
Yes, this is all well and good but how do you get enough ISK to buy a covert op cloaking device? Can you haul without a cloaking device? Once my little Venture can build back up enough ISK to buy some of what you are showing I'll give this a try. I've thought about trying this by creating safe points throughout a given bubble and seeing if I can run a route. 👍✌🥃
I was just following along in fit simulator and the fit goes over my power grid by about 110... I have my core skills maxed and a lot of shield skills but the 50MN warpdrive and large shield extender are killing the power. Anyone know what skills reduce the power grid of these two? Edit: I have max shield upgrades, engineering, power grid management... will add more relevant skills as I find them Edit edit: Derp, found it. He's using a 5mn microwarp drive, not a 50mn one. XD
I'm coming back to Eve and I'm wondering if they changed the 'server tick rate'. I had a ship that went to warp in 1.5 seconds and I remember it was impossible to catch. But it got caught and died. So did something change?
Ultralocker is the "style" of ship that can lock and scram in under 1s. Instalocker under 2s. If you search those terms, you can find more about how you got caught. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BebWSMTqnuc.html is smartbombing ships out of warp. Kinda nuts.
Big disagree on the fit here. 2 expanded 2's and a shadow serp istab get you under 4s align. Only the whole number matters for align time. Rigs can go to either cargo(will put you over 10k hold so you can move cruisers) or to hyperspatial rigs for gotta go fast.

Secret Callout - goota say Lorumerth, your voice is basically ASMR meets Leisure Suit Larry. Also - tell me how to get form level 1 Distribution to level 4 everywhere.. is it time... its time and effort isnt it.
ahhh thank you for that 😌 Yes, level 4s are some of the most a->b ways to make ISK in Eve, but they take some time to get the rep. Be sure to get Rep+ focused skills to help!
This is otherwise a nice video, but I'd like to correct some information regarding the MWD + cloak. There's absolutely no need for an MWD with a covops cloak, it'll only hurt your align time. The idea of the MWD + cloak trick is for ships that have a higher align time and cannot use covops cloaks to be able to both align cloaked and within 10 seconds. The cycle time of the MWD is 10 seconds, so for any ship that naturally aligns faster than within 10 seconds, it's completely useless for that purpose. However, since normal cloaking devices reduce maximum speed by 75%, if you try to align to warp while cloaked without an MWD, you will end up at BEST at 25% of maximum speed after the cloak ends - and you'd need to be at 80%ish. If you cycle a big enough MWD (that's why you need a 50mn in a DST) while cloaked, you counteract the speed reduction of the cloak, and when both effects end simultaneously, you'll instantly be at 80%+ and warp out. This takes exactly 10 seconds. You may also have ships that align faster than within 10 seconds use MWD + cloak trick to trade some align time to the safety of being cloaked, but that's always a trade-off. You can also use a big enough MWD to reduce the align time of very big and slow ships, like the Orca, even without a cloak.
Not worth it in any Cov Ops cloaked ships, including Blockade Runners, but DST's and other larger/slower ships benefit from it a lot. I use the trick almost every time I move my Impel, with an Improved Cloak.
#secretcallout Just jumped back in to EVE recently after about 8 years away. A lot has changed, but it's also not really any different haha I might try some hauling missions after watching this. Thanks!
I'm not sure you understand how the align time works. if its 2.00 seconds(or anything untill 2.99), then it will align in 3 seconds due to how the server ticks work. Saying a fit is 1.5 seconds faster is bad :D
bubbles are impossible to deploy in HS and LS same with HICs they can only script point in HS and LS. also dont confuse new players the "cloak-MWD trick" is only good if your align is over 9s. you cycle it once yes but in a blockaid runner and most other subcaps BC down youll enter warp faster if you dont ever cycle it from full stop. other than that nice vid ive never actually seen someone do Hauler missions lol. can you do the other obscure ones like mining L4s?
"the "cloak-MWD trick" is only good if your align is over 9s." Completely false. I don't think you understand something here. With the cloak trick, you are only targetable for, best case 1 server tick. After the cycle you zip off untouchable. If you roam around low sec with a 5 second align time and no cloak, you'll learn just how valuable this is.
The nicest thing about Distribution missions is the ability to do so many of them real fast. I ususally go one step further then Lorumerth does, I pick up any and every distribution mission I fly within 1 or 2 jumps of, just keep putting them in my hold and adding the new waypoint at the end. This does mean you need a bigger ship than a Blockade Runner though, Deep Space Transports and even regular haulers work fine for this method. This is a great way to get the infamous Storyline Mission to increase standings with a faction, fairly fast.
mwd cloack trick on a viator? interdiction nullifier in lowsec? are you sure you play this game for 10 years? also the tank is absolutely worthless. if you get caught in a viator your are dead if you have 1000hp more or not. instead use mid slots for a cap recharger or battery for the 100au+ warps. both rigs should be warp speed and low schauld be a mix of cargohold expanders inertia stabs and maybe a warp core stabalizer. or also warp speed. eve a burst jammer would make more sense in the mid slot. mwd is correct tho
I'm revisiting this video after doing a few distribution missions, and there's something I found quite useful and productive. I was based at a station belonging to a specific corp. I filtered for this corp's distribution mission agents in the agent finder and it had a dozen of them within 10 jumps. I right-clicked each of them and added them as waypoints. When I was all done, I optimized my route using the route management UI button, and proceeded to warp from agent to agent. As I got each mission, I would set the delivery destination as a new waypoint and re-optimize the route again. Turns out that a lot of them were within the existing route! That meant in some system, I would pick up and new mission AND deliver a previous one at the same time, all for the same corporation, thus racking up standings at the same time. I did this for about 30 minutes and (it was level 2 agents, so not as much money as 4's) but I made about 1M. Not too bad
Check your other skills! There are a bunch of skills that effect powergrid. Be sure to play with the fitting window to maximize what you can currently fly
in the t1 area i find many haulers quite useful, so i have skilled every min. to 1. e.g. for gass, minerals, ore, planetary stuff etc. but if I go to "T2-Hauler", which are the best of the 4 factions? Do you have a video where you compare all 2x4 (cover ops/ blockade runner)?
@@lorumerthgaming I can't wait! I mean you can also cover the normal Freighter and Jump Freighter in an extra Video, but I think the T2 Variants are the logical next step in the evolution of a "Freighter" Pilot. :)
So the MWD trick is unnecessary for a BR they can warp cloaked and will warp faster without the mwd being on. Shield extenders are also a bad idea for a BR because of how server ticks work in relation to cloaking vs point. the server operates on one second ticks, when you drop your gate cloak or session change timer and hit your cloak you are vulnerable to be targeted until the next tick occurs. This is how "insta-lock" frigates can tgt you if they have a sub one sec tgt lock speed on your sig size, because tgting and points are instant and will be applied retroactively while the cloak will not. That is why you may sometimes get pulled out of a warp after it has initiated, what happened is your client said you were entering warp, but then it got a message back from the server saying that actually you were pointed .5sec before you actually initiated the warp, so your client then pulls you out of the warp. I probably explained that badly but the tldr is that cloaking before you are targeted is your defense, shields will just mean you die slightly slower. Shields increase sig which makes it easier to target you in the very small window before your cloak activates, therefore they are a bad idea to fit in most circumstances. I use shield amps in mid because they do add some tank but don't bloom sig, I also dont bother with a prop mod you aren't going to make it back to the gate if you are caught anyway.
For anyone wanting haul for Amarr or raise your Amarr standings fast, I found that in the IRNIN system, there are [5] lvl2 distribution agents in the same station. With this, you can quite quickly grind up your standings with Amarr. Irnin - M8 Court Chamberlain Bureau 1. Accept missions from all 5 agents. 2. Set destination on one, and add waypoints for the other 4 drop offs. 3. Click the "A" next to Route and click "Optimize Route". It will give you the best possible path to do all the drop offs. It's usually 20-25 jumps total. 4. Do the trucking and repeat! You'll get storyline missions pretty fast doing this since you're knocking out 5 missions in one go round. Doing this in a normal t1 caldari hauler (Badger with 4 inertial stablizers and 3 Medium Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer II's for speed). The isk isn't amazing, but, if quick standings is what you're after, like myself, it's not too shabby.
Mhh in low sec you cant get bubbeld . I'am wrong or you that there will no use of Interdiction Nullifiers its for 0 . In low you maybe want to use Warp core stabilizer if you get instalocked and pointed .
OH no!! Im late. What a crime. #secretcallout . Once again, GREAT video and trully helpful guid. Would say don't be shy to post more videos Loru , I always enjoy watching them .
# secret callout, just to let you know that you make some REALLY good videos! ngl I can't do half the things you do, but I still watch your videos just because they're interesting :D
The reasonable advice - pre-heat your MWD before the run for a single cycle. Sometimes it can save a life, sometime it can just be the necessary speed boost for your deep space transport or orca when you see a cheeky guys nearby. And you can autopilot in a Viator. Just keep an eye on local with one eye (ocasionally) and press cloak button when you autopilot lands on +10 to gates (if needed). And continue watching your daily youtube. But that would be still dangerous till the event ends. And yes, sadly I dont watch your streams)
You should never pre-heat your MWD. Overheating an MWD doesn't affect acceleration, only max speed. If you pre-heat you're taking heat damage without any benefit.
@@RobertLutece909 what you described is correct, but it works in cases when you can reach higher speed within 10 sec (lets say, MWD cold hits the cap number of 1500, while pre-heat MWD hits 1700, having 1900 as its top number). It doesnt affect the acceleration stst in the module, but works nevertheless)
About this MWD and decloak trick - you don't need to wait till MWD doing full cycle, you just need to wait until your ship fully aligned to the warp vector. Decloak and instawarp, the speed made by MWD will be enough. The less time you spend on this - the less the chance that gankers will d-scan you down.
Hurricane's are battleships? ......... Im finding it harder and harder to actually believe this guys plays EVE. And the fact hes making all these guide videos makes it more disturbing..... Like.....using shield extenders increases your sig radius which makes you easier to lock faster, and if you get locked, you cant cloak. On top of then you get warp disrupted. Sig rad is a crucial mechanic you have to limit when blockade running.
Tech II Haulers huh? I may know a thing or two about them ;) caught about 80 DTS's and about 75 Blockades so far this year Zkill the Corporation: KROOKBORNE Keep Hauling o7
