South Beach beds are better in my opinion but a little more expensive. Better view, right on the water with not obstructions and less crowded on the other side of the island.
Thanks for sharing. You actually get a lot. When its busy we like doing the same thing. New subscribers and supporters of your channel looking forward to what else you will share.
Thanks so much! ☺️ we’re newly subscribed and interested in your channel as well! You do get a lot for your money with the beach bed rental - we’ll definitely do this again 🌴
Great video! I have a question about the collapsible wagon. Did you take it with you as a carry-on or did you check it in and had it waiting for you in the cabin?
Thank you! They assigned us this bed - but we’re going again in July with family - so they advised we visit the excursion desk once on board to request that we get beds next to one another and they also said we can put in a request for an area we’d like the beds to be in 😊 So when you book right away you’re essentially ensuring you have one reserved - but then once on board you can make more specific requests. We definitely recommend this though, it made our experience on Coco Cay even better!
Are towels also included in the rental? If my memory serves me right, they are. Just wanted to check. It's such a nice luxury to not have to carry them off the ship and then lug the wet towels back on.
We usually select all of our names when we book the reservation - I’m not sure how much that really matters either way, as we’re a family of 3, but they’ve given us our 4th wristband at check-in to give to other family last minute.
When we first boarded, we went down to the excursions deck and they were able to arrange for our bed to be next to family who booked. So they accommodate requests when they can - it’s best to go to the excursions desk as soon as you can after boarding 😊
We love the beds along the back wall with the view on the ships. They’re quiet, and the view and photo ops are just so cool. I think we had bed 27 or 28. We loved it - both times we requested a bed in the back row with the ship view.
We like the location of Chill Island better because it’s closer to Splashaway Bay and the things we like to do. We also like the ships right there behind us - makes for photo ops! I guess it all depends on what you would prefer. South Beach has a quieter and more peaceful vibe, Chill Island is a little busier 😊
I would call RCCL to double check - I noticed the Oasis Lagoon Cabanas also have age restriction of 4, however Jake was only 2 yes old when we rented the cabana and we had no issues. Worth a try to ask!
