Chill Rolls & Mill Rolls 

Really interesting method of producing Chilled Cast Iron. Worked in a foundry in Swansea(UK) in the 1960's machining and grinding these rolls. We cast the whole roll no steel centre shafts. The foundry was opened in the 1820's and produced mills for India for the railway lines. Some of the men from Swansea moved to Lucknow to set up the mills. Really nostalgic video. Thanks
