Wow! I just came across your video, in it you are skiing professionally, gliding smoothly through the thick beautiful white snow while playing a great combination of chill relax music that brought me more happiness from watching and listening to your video above. Also, Yes, this video and music can bring tears to your eyes. Thanks Dan, I needed that. To do this for others is awesome! Thanks to you and your family. Safety First !!!
So I used to rep for and ski with Dynastar and Lange and taught in Park City for almost 20 years in my 20’s-40’s. At 56 I gave myself a total knee replacement. Doc says I can not ski bumps but ski pow the rest of my life. I am down. I decided to watch powder ski videos as am on the recumbent bike and other forms of my physical therapy. I am at 30 minutes and focusing on your turns, where you are going to make your next turn, what that fluff feels like, etc is fantastic brain therapy and keeps my eye on the prize. I will be at the entire video by the end of this month without a doubt. Thank you for sharing your videos of you earning some glorious turns. I feel like I am skinning up with you bro.
This is one of the best comments I have ever read on my videos. First off, thanks. It makes me happy that you find value from watching. Second, it is a pleasure to meet you on here. Third, it bums me out to hear about your knee, glad you can still ski powder, bummed to hear that the doc told you not to ski bumps. Part of me wants to say, screw it, just send it and see what happens haha, but it is smart to build up to bigger sends, start small, then see how much you feel comfortable pushing. Let me know if I can make any video that you would enjoy watching. I would be glad to do it for you.
@@DanNoakes epic bro. I hurt my knee in college playing football and the doc in the 80s told me I wouldn’t long distance run or snow ski and look what I did with that advice. Lol. I am STOKED for my titanium plastic prosthesis. I was full of arthritis that needed to be GONE. My “new” doc knows me well and knows I love off piste. I don’t have the nickname “phattskis” for nothing. Lol. I am ok with not skiing bumps but you know as well as I do there are plenty of bumps, knobs, rocks, etc, under the fluff Thank you so much. I will def sub your channel. Sub back-I have a couple of OLD videos I made years ago (less than HD! Pre gopro!) as well as my hack guitar videos that I love now. I am looking forward to January 2023 when I can put on my AT gear and get back in the deepssssss
i have only ever skied in the alps for my whole life (13. years) and i can't wait when i grow up and then be able to go places by my self and ski in the USA, can't wait for my first chest deep experience!!
I totally recommend spending time in Alta, UT and get into backcountry skiing. You will definitely be able to get first tracks and some chest deep days there. Good luck to you! Thanks for your comment.
@@DanNoakes thank you so much for your suggestions!! I'll have to wait until I become 18 and get my own skies! I hope to explore the world and skiing the most interesting places, I love skiing. keep doing what you are doing!! I look up to you :)
Thanks, I really appreciate that. I am really excited for this season. I hope it delivers. Today I just posted a relaxing preseaason tour up my local resort you might like, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ht4io1NRVwo.html. Keep in touch and let me know how your season progresses. Always good to connect with other folks passionate about skiing.
Dan this is so awesome my knees will not let me ski anymore. This really takes me back so beautiful. I actually do my stationary bike while I’m watching this. Thank you,
I am so glad you enjoy it. Sorry to hear that you can't ski anymore, but stoked you are still exercising on the bike. Thanks for commenting and watching the video. I appreciate it.
Dan - Absolutely fantastic video!! I've been using your footage with my in-home ski machine and it make the workout go so much faster and makes we want to get on the slopes (abeit a bit harder to do from FL). An idea/suggestion for you to get more views: Can you take the same footage and dub it with some more energetic workout music? Reach out to some of the ski machine folks (Aeroski and others) to see if they would want to feature your footage as workout videos? Keep up the great work!!!
That is a really great idea. I am not familiar with the ski machine products you are talking about, which ones do you have in mind? If you are willing to have a phone conversation about these ideas I would be interested.
Your Chillhop powder edits are sick! Man, I love picking my (your) lines while watching and grooving! As a flat-lander (and inlander...) back east, this keeps me stoked till I get back out there!
@@DanNoakes I've done some skiing out there a few times, but have struggled with access. Have you found easy access to good skiing along the main salmon or the middle fork?
