Thanks Scoville Smith it is the contestants that make the show we just run and host it ;-) Yeah we a number of chillies we grow most of the rounds and as the year goes along we have more that come on line. Also a few other chilli heads often donate a round or two ie Robs Chilli page ;-)

Fabricio de Moura it all depends on the event organiser, we have had prizes ranging from £50 - £500+. this event would off been approx £100 worth of products. If you can get a sponsor for the contest then this makes it easier ;-)

Allan - unbelievable performance; tests what the Clifton club are all about. I love chillies but man oh man that was impressive Tamsin - amazing and definitely impressed with how much heat you managed to withstand. Very good second place. Everyone - respect to you all, very entertaining and totally hardcore chilli consumption. Chilli rules 🔥🔥🔥🔥

paul elliott thgis has to be one off the most entertaining contests we have done! at the end of the day it is the contestants that make the show, all we do is bring the heat ;-) we had 6 more chilli rounds limed up ;-)

Clifton Chilli Club I have never seen a woman win one of these contests. There is very strong scientific evidence that men have considerable higher pain thresholds than women.

Suppose theres a downside to everything lol..take a couple of baseball bats if your off out on the beer in town lol. The toby carvery on the roundabout where you go to get to Bushey sports center does some lovely cheap grub. ;)

Hi TheKnightOut It's more like the adrenaline kicking in also yeah once you are on to the super hots the heat is takes over as it is all a trick on the mind as they do not physically burn.

Hi Ralph Uhlemann this is what Tamsin had to say “It was absolutely painful,” she said after numbing the pain with litres of milk. “I cannot describe the pain, it was horrendous. “It’s one of those moments that at the time I thought I could do. What put me out was the gag reflex, I just had to stop at that point. I am fine now but still a bit shaky on my feet. Voo Duu I didn't cheat. I don't know what you're seeing but it's pretty hard to cheat in a chilli competition with the hosts looking over your shoulder to ensure you're not cheating. Looking back, it doesn't matter that I didn't win. I was so close to beating someone who did this for a living when I was only 17. I'm proud regardless.
