Came running here after watching the MacG interview. The Chillers need to come gather here. This interview was absolutely remarkable. I love how David allowed the interview to simply flow, felt like I was watching 2 brothers catching up. This interview deserves a million views 🙌🏾 and also, can someone please make a movie ya Chilli M, we can't allow him to be forgotten like that! RIP to the legend 🕯️
it would make a great movie, imagine all those escapades and finally realizing that your greatest downfall is God saving you, giving you life. Really loved the interview.
"God took everything away from me and gave me life, I am closer to myself now.... I wish me a radio show, I wish me another gig. I miss this space" Then the handshake. I know he cannot read this but he did not die in vein, he gave me a perspective about life. May his soul rest in peach...
@@MyLorealparis Lalela, also felt it in my core hey. After the MacG interview, the way it ended left me wanting more...in hindsight Chilli M gave us his biography, LIVE!!! It does not get better than that. Props to King David for his talent too. It was really 2 grown folks who respect each other having a conversation about LIFE and you can see Chilli M eventually was comfortable enough and allowed himself to be vulnerable. May his soul rest in peace indeed!!!
It's sad that he only got it at the end of his life. He had already exhausted his life miles and the only radio show he got is where he now resides. What a maverick, a legend never to be forgotten 👏🏾😢🙌🏾
I could not agree with you more with all your words however with the first sentence, listening to his story I can only say "He lived his life hey" in a world that tries to box you and tell you who to be. He served his time and left us with his story. He surely will never be forgotten!!! I am questioning my life and are truly inspired.
I was lucky to listen to "The Chilli M Show" 12h00 to 15h00 @ Metro FM in 1999 until July 2001. Phat Joe took over the slot when Chilli M contract was cancelled. That show explosive. Chilli M was the it. He was on FIRE. its very sad that he was let go from Metro due to what was happening outside the studio. Caught up with him @ P4 Radio too. He was born to do radio. What a legend. He lived on the fast lane. He is dearly missed and radio still needed Chilli M. A life too short.
Rest in Paradise King, I so wish God would've given you another chance to be on Radio💔💔I have a feeling that a lack of guidance during his lifetime led him to be not responsible enough however I'm grateful that he was honest enough for us too as young people to learn from him
Great story teller. Colourful personality. The greatest radio presenter we ever had and Phat Joe comes after him. "1st thing i do in the morning, i go home" 😂😂😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The father… what a guy 👊 May he continue to rest in peace man, a life worth celebrating, life of trials and errors, life fully lived. We may feel that he robbed us a bit of his talent , but it was Gods will… Daddy 🐐
All he wanted was to be behind the Microphone doing what he knows best RIP Chilly M. Great interview bra David and thank you to Mac G Bringing us to your podcast.
@@bongampanza3402 No absolutely, I do agree. I had no idea how he troubled he was until this interview. I think looking at this, it's safe to say. We can all learn from Chilli M’s life, his drive & lessons. I wish we could’ve given him his flowers when he was alive. Thank you for that brother.
As much as it was an emotional show/episode I really enjoyed this interview, I just wish I had the opportunity to listen to Chillie M live on radio. He sounds like he was a great radio host. May His Soul RIP
Been hoping to find clips of his previous radio shows but nothing came up bro... Sucks! Wish metro and yfm had an online archive coz they probably still have all the recordings of the shows...
Eish i was so touched by this interview, especially his tears reduced me to my feet. I wish if God had spared him the life and grant him just one very last chance to do what he loved best
Powerful, I never gave Chilli M that much of my ear, but through this podcast I am so jealous of everyone who got to experience him in his prime, RIP DADDY... David is doing a wonderful job, keep it up LEPARA la PITORI
I'm happy that uncle Chilli lived that life to the fullest and he isn't ashamed to share his life story. I will forever love and cherish uncle Chilli M he was legend, R.I.P Masinga
honesty and self acualisation says alot about a person. according to maslows hierarchy of needs self actualisation is the highest of all needs and once you reach that level then youve lived life. thanks David and thanks chilli M
I feel like Chilli M was most probably the best broadcaster ever cause of how truthful he was, he just got caught up in the trappings of the fame, but besides that he should always be remembered for the memorable radio that he just created. On his birthday he should always trend on most podcasts especially Podcast and Chill.
Shout out to MacG for introducing me to David, always loved radio and am enjoying these interviews. love David's style of interviewing and of course it is great to hear these legendary stories. ChilliM, rest in power boss!
I wish David could stop trying to finish sentences for Chilli cause he's wrong 90% of the time 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 #Edit - the last part had me chopping onions! RIP Chilli M
I hope daddy finds the rest that he needed!i hope heaven is one big radio station. Through it all Daddy lived his purpose. I hope we all get to live our passions and purpose like daddy did. What a life!🤲🤲
Rest easy Chilli, by your own life lived you've made hubris look beautiful and that was honestly because there has been tons of hardest work behind complementing it I totally disagree that you were naughty, you were just a very rare gem which radio wasn't ready for and I honestly think radio will never have a Rockstar such as yourself.. saddens me so much to be in this reality of knowing you died a broken man. To everyone that grew up listening to him and loved him like I did/still do, maybe his colleagues, friends and family.. I'm really sorry ayikho esingayenza, silahlekelwe sonke bafwethu.
I am here after watching the MacG interview! wow what a great story: hope the chillers come and watch. such a sad end, but great lessons to learn for all of us.
I am part of the young generation that never really listened to radio, watching these two fellas chat makes me wish I did back in the day. What an emotional rollercoaster of an interview. Great interview Bra David. RIP Chilli M #ChillerGang
Once Chilli left Radio fraternity I had never heard anything better 😎, chilli was responsible to how many of us speak today . Trendsetter and pioneer, rest in glory daddy ✊🏾
