My father in law was a Chief Petty Officer on the flagship of the US 7th Fleet during the Vietnam War the USS Oklahoma City. He shot down a Mig 17 with a Talos Missile during the Battle of Dong Hoi. He received the Silver Star.

Interesting, thanks for sharing! Is he a Star Wars fan at all? Some kind of 7th Fleet/Chimaera pin or poster might make a cool Christmas gift sometime. Probably not if he isn’t into Star Wars though!

love it. i think the Eye of seion being a part of the Chimara is very intresting and i hop they don't sperate but i also hop the chimera gets repaired as well.

Honestly the Chimaera with all the gold plating repairs and the Eye of Sion really makes it the most unique Star Destroyer and I think speaks more to Thrawn's love for art. In my ideal world, the Chimaera will rejoin the remnant fleet, get it's systems and engines fully repaired but keep the gold plating on it's hull. Kind of like how Tarkin's protege kept the massive gashes on his Star Destroyer's hull after she took over after his death.

If they intend to eventually get Ahsoka & co. back from Peridia someone is probably gonna have to steal the Eye of Sion to go there. So yeah they'll repair and refit the Chimera and detach the eye onve the hyperdrive is repaired

That could be, although I think Team Ahsoka will use more mystical means to get home like they did to get there. Perhaps the World Between Worlds or Morris will be involved somehow.

While it is true Thrawn did get a ring with the emblem of a chimaera by the paccosh Uingali foar Marocsaa, Thrawn received it while he served in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet. Thrawn did not serve in the Republic navy, even though he did meet and help Anakin during the Clone War(s). Also, I believe the Chimaera already had it's name before Thrawn was given command of it

The Eye was pretty quick, so I imagine if the Chimera got its engines back it would probably make the pair one of the fastest capital ships out there (assuming the Eye wasn’t removed in that case).

Yes, eventually. I almost added it to this video, but thought that might make it too complicated since the Chimaera’s story is so different in each timeline.
