This video was fun to make. And all of these dudes are my friends. And this lineup sounded awesome live. As in HOLY SHIT THIS SOUNDS AMAZING live. Which is rare. And I see a lot of bands. This lineup is a group of precise players. Serious players. More serious than most. They sounded great at this show and it was an honor to be the last person to shoot and direct their last two videos. Had a blast. Merry Christmas. ~Alex

I will never love a band as much as i loved Chimaira. My entire love of metal is dedicated to them, in each incarnation they represented. Thank you for this vid, Mark. It truly means the world to me.

been doing a lot of waking to clear my head lately, put on, what I think is the most underrated overall but best album by the band…..The Infection by chimaira is absolute perfection of and album beginning to end! If ya anyone hasn’t heard it or heard of them, check it and them out! And nik…..get on some chimaira reactions!

CHIMAIRA BRASIL !

I started listening to metal during Sabbath's first albums. We use to smoke love boat and have orgies to their music. During the 80's I was bummed out cause I thought no band could ever come again to touch Sabbath. Then I heard sepulture in the 90's and metal was a million years in the future and It was the answer to Sabbath. Then I heard Chimaira in the 2000's and it took it all to a whole nother level. Chimaira jams and this song jams and I am grateful to still be alive to enjoy it on my 2000 watt system in my living room. I just hope they keep a groove with the insane energy Like the first few albums. I get chill's up my spine when I hear them play and my Ol' lady don't know what to think. She is still stuck on Sabbath.

chimaira was one of the first bands I started listening too when I started getting into metal, always loved them. and while the lineup changed and maybe some sound changed I almost felt like this lineup gave new life and something to set them apart from every other metal band. the technicality and sound of this album was awesome and if you only can complain that the members changed then you weren't a true fan. good music is good music and this was just beautiful

Man, I miss this. Such a great group of artists. It’s rare to hear bands sound better live, but these guys were the best of the best when it came to that, it was mind blowing.

i miss you Chimaira! First band my sister took me to When I was a teen, Black Sheep in Colorado, although many members had been altered I still got to see the singer and they fucking rocked! Severed was the first song I heard and year of the snake broke me up with my girlfriend lol.

Fucking hell I still can't believe that even though the majority of the member are not the originals, i think only the vocalist is , they still fucking sound like what a chimaria album, they even sound more fucking brutal than ever and still sound like chimaria. Shame that they are gone

Chimaira is the SHIT and my foot’s all in it. I wish I saw more of you all. I love Mark’s heavy hand in the composition to keep your consistency, but I really miss Rob and Andol’s and the crew like I saw live originally. Blackest of the Black Tour with Behemoth and Danzig. Still the best concert I’ve seen to date.

If you watch the Down Again mini movie which is awesome by the way, Mark says that on this tour they did like 30 dates and he only came home with like a thousand bucks. I find that hard to believe judging by the intensity and size of the crowds.

Does anyone by any chance have the setlist from that night (12/21/13)? That was the last time (of many) I saw them live and have been dying to find the setlist. Also, anyone else here going to be at the Chimaira Christmas 15 show in 12/30/17?!?!? Can. Not. WAIT!!!

When are we going to start getting more videos on Chimairatube? Also, where are all the chicks at the show? When we use to see metal bands in the 70's/ 80's (Sabbath, Judas priest, ,Motorhead etc.) they were packed with hot heavy metal chicks wearing black lingerie and black boots/ heals to the concerts. What happened to that? It looks like a stag party. Even "Hal daddys" Metal bar in Baltimore had a lot of chicks in the 90's, 2000's.

Part awesome, part mediocre, part sad. Awesome - because, compared to 99% of songs being played out there, it kicks ass! Mediocre - because, even so, it is at best average for a Chimaira song (sorry, but IMO, Rob's guitar work is what MADE Chimaira's songs Chimaira.. this song JUST ended and I can't even remember the main riff). And sad because... well, it's over. Sad in that posthumous-video-of-your-dead-friend sort of way - on one hand you have the fun memories; on the other you know that era is over...... Although, if you would have asked me 10 years ago, I would have told you that one of my biggest regrets was that I would never get to see Carcass play live (specifically Heartwork-era lineup) - so who knows what will happen in the future! Best of luck Mark!

Do miss their style in each aspect. Mark's voice is quite special... I'd like to hear it again, but it seems that he's not interested anymore. :( Nothing Remains.

This would have been so much more tolerable if Hunter had off just made a side project with the Daath guys. This is not chimaira and never will be.
