I have their EP signed by the whole band, including Matt who wasn't in the band at the time. He had just joined them and it was his first tour, he said to me, "Are you sure you want me to sign this? I wasn't in the band when they recorded this." I said, "You are now though". He gave me a hug Then we fucked. JK about the last part but yeah, Chimaira was good times.

Dave Williams time in Drowning Pool before he died was the best singer for that band. The 1st replacement was like a cheap knock off of Dave then Ryan from Soil comes in and due to his distinct voice, it just sounded like a Soil album to me lol. I know they got yet another new singer but I can't bring myself to really listen to it.

I just think he could fill the spot, not replace, just fill.

Chimaira was better than Drowning Pool tho

@irishmetalfan nah its pretty heartfelt and amazing melodic music my ears, like chester really did care about his fans and the music, unlike manufactured pop groups, like they built that shit from the ground, you can see their evolution over the internet, they worked hard and made some great music, sure the later albums im not a fan of, but i know they would never sell out or anything and do it all for the cash, like chester didnt care too much about making shitloads of money and making music he doesnt like but would make it to he radio, like you can tell that dude genuinely needed to express himself, most sellouts wouldnt take their life at the peak of the cashflow just saying, hate to use that as an example why their not manufactured and all for the money, but it gets the point across. my advice is take more risks with music, instead of just exclusively listening to heavy angry music, instead of calling anything with singing and pop influence ''fucking shit manufactured music'', maybe give it a chance, if you dont like it thats fine, but atleast be aware of their motives and who they are as a band before calling them manufactured, lp are as genuine as it gets.

True. But I still think it would have been a better idea if they just started a new band name lol. I guess the one thing I can appreciate is that they're still a goddamn metal band, unlike some bands who completely sound different in a bad way (aka Linkin Park and All That Remains)
