Chimney is a picturesque village near Darjeeling, the name of the village derived from a 100 year old chimney, which was built by the British at the time of WWI (World Word I). The chimney is 24 ft. in height and most point of attraction among travelers.
About 11 km of uphill drive from Kurseong will take you to the sleepy hamlet - Chimeny. The village is heaven for true nature lovers, which is nestled into the clouds. Great views of rolling tea gardens and Rivers Teesta and Mahananda can be seen from here. A short walk to the Chimney from homestay will give you a breathtaking experience, if trekking is your hobby then you can reach Bagora from Chimney, only 8 km trek.
