Pete? you mean to tell everyone you're out there donating your time and your gas and your decades knowledge and your sub 7 thousand dollar chim-scan? You're a better man than me brother ! I will never sell any work that is unnecessary and I certainly would never try to use scare tactics to up my closing average but I certainly do not know of many people in America that is waking up and working for free . . . . Depending on the chimney/fireplace/wood stove/pellet stove, gas logs, gas fireplace, what ever an inspection can take a lot of time and even if it is a small chimney. I know damn well you're not gonna pull your 40 off your truck and not get paid brother. . . . you're also paying insurance , i'm pretty sure. Anyway though, yea man this industry is hammered, there are so many companies out there today who hire people that can sell shit on a stick but have absolutely zero knowledge about what they're doing , or not doing as it were. . . . It is a shame! I work out of New York state and there is more than enough legitimate work to be had, the thing is, nobody wants to do the real work, they want to scam people and take the easy way out but it all will catch up to those in the end brother, Absolutely, positively , without question
