I hate to notice such things, but it seems as if a lot of Japanese videos featuring baby gorillas and chimps, pander to viewers who don't watch the monkey vids out of scientific curiosity or because they think babies are so sweet and precious. These videos almost ALWAYS exhibit the monkeys in various stages of genital self-exploration or the touching of that area by troop members on a baby...as I stated, it appears to be the predominate theme of almost every video or I would never have noticed. *OPINION...NOT misinformation or meant to offend or inply anything untoward. Just an observation *
That assessment couldn’t be farther from the truth. I watch several Japanese channels focused on apes and I can without hesitation that 99.9% don’t include this “self-exploration” you are so concerned about. Your “almost always” claim is complete nonsense and easily refuted. And you’re convinced that there is an audience that watches ape videos solely for these behaviors? Give me a break.
I would love take that baby and spoil it for a while. Play with it and feed the fruit and greenery it likes. Can’t nurse it need mom for that. I say all that to learn more and as much as I can about the chimps. I noticed how easy it was for the baby to tell mom it wanted to nurse. It got it milk coma and went to sleep. It brakes you heart now to see the Cambodian babies wanting milk and wishing they to could have an easier time nursing without mom biting, kicking, hitting, and beating up the baby because it’s hungry.
