Look up Emanuel Augustus not chinese drunken master but I think with drunken martial arts it's about being fluid and unpredictable

it's not a joke but it's also neither a competitive or a self defence form of martial art. Shaolin kung fu is about expressing your physical power, toughness and control. It is dancing. It takes decades to master. The sifu himself says it it is not used for self defence. You can use the motions and body control you learn in drunken boxing and apply it in self defence though to be more unpredictable. Shaolin and martial arts in general are not for you to become some badass who can dominate anyone in a fight, it is so you can become more focused and better yourself, steel your body and open your mind. The only "combat" style of shaolin I know of is the Wu-Tang which is a fencing style with weapons so unless you carry around a dao in your everyday life I wouldn't use Wu-Tang forms as self defence. Kung-Fu means hard work. classical dancing and contemporary dancing, break dancing and shaolin styles of wu shu are all very similar

Li Zhizhou was the best drunken practitioner in my opinion. Jet Lee even in his young years slightly missed the true drunken spirit. Jackie Chan’s drunken style is awful
