We are not remotely pacifists. In no way are the government, constitution, military or people of Mexico espousing pacifist ideals at any worthwhile political level. The first words of our national anthem are very much literally "Mexicans to the war cry!". Geopolitical realities simply make it expedient to have a small and rather toothless military on global affairs. We realized in the early 1900's that nothing we did would ever lead us to militarily overtake the nation to our north that was 3 times larger and had 3 times the population with far better land suited to industrial and agricultural exploitation. So why would the government ever bother even attempting military parity with the US or the facade of it? On the flipside, our geographic closeness to the USA also allows us to exist with every guarantee that no one in their right mind would ever invade us so long as we had even the most tepid of relationships with the US government. Because no way in hell would the USA ever tolerate any potential and credible military threat to their immediate south that could compromise the geographic security of Fortress North America. So we didn't even need a military to protect against other foreign threats except for Guatemala and Belize both of which have jokes of a military for pretty much the same reasons.

Your outdated and inefficient immigration system made it a guarantee that the migrants would cross illegally. The cartels are a social and public health problem, not a military one. Mexico has demonstrated without any doubt that trying to handle organized smuggling syndicates through military means is an unwinnable battle that ends up corrupting every facet of your authority projecting state apparatus. For the USA it is because it means the imperialistic nature of invading small countries for it' resources is on the line. It also means that the Mexican President, along with Russia and China, has sent those stupid warmongering coward Republicans in the USA Congress a message, a serious message of intervention in Latin America.

Maybe they already have, being that stupid Republikans in Congress have already threaten Mexico with an invasion. Mexicans, especially under their president (AMLO), are NOT stupid. They both are friends with each other. They believe in peace and prosperity. This is what you call true friendships. Not back stabbing others and stirring up wars for their own gain - like situations in Ukraine and EU. Do I need to say who I'm talking about?

The presence of Chinese PLA in this parade is to give a hint that it will assist Mexico in defending itself from USA invasion and war on drug cartels there.

Considering it was the CIA and DEA who created the international drug trafficking problem, US should take responsibility by stop trading with Cartels and stop selling them weapons.
