One teenager from my region died due to being employed in a chinese squids fishing boat. He fell sick and didn't receive proper and immediate treatment. They just let him suffer months in the boat till he died. Besides, the conditions of the boat were very poor as a result many workers fell sick.

Did you watch the same thing I did? That is not at all realistic. There are much bigger issues for Uighurs. Media like this is not allowed in China so it’s not impacting domestic labor supply. If anything this issue is under reported due to the risks.

The reporter footage shown all fishermen all the boats are visibly Han Chinese, only shown Uyghur at fish processing plant on land at that one company in Shandong. And the pay, $3000 Yuan with provided living and meals (normal in China), though it is low but decent for unskilled labors that one can even save some to send home (one can live decently on 1-2000 monthly minus rent/meals) Aljazeera, please if you want to do better than the Western media you so criticized over the past month on the war in the Middle East, you should delve deeper into the reality of things: like is it realistic for these laborers to find better jobs, are the Uyghurs who work there really forced or they are getting low but decent pay, will your reporting simply discourage any company hiring Uyghur at all…instead of going to right groups, classifying all these as forced labor with social media posts as evidence. And for balanced report, shouldn’t you also see the other side of the story, than going to Washington hoping somehow the big corps are going to change?
