I am curious. Which one is better for the consumer? Is inflation or deflation? Thumbs up for deflation and Thumbs down for inflation.

Exactly, if Chinese Government wants to subsidised the world, $1 for computor, $2 for mobile phones, $3 for cars, they are doing great favours for world population. Unless citizens enjoy high inflation and lower quality of living, and end up no money for food.

Try to play the number game here with Export price index. that essentially means nothing. The real number is in 2009 value of Chinese export is at 1.2 trillion and in 2024 it is at 3.38 trillion. In term of consumption Chinese consumer spending is 6 times of 2009 level.

Let's see if people can still afford cheaper chinese exports in next 5 years. There is a real danger middle class can't afford more than basic necessities.

If China up their export goods, then some other ASEAN countries will take over the cheaper export markets. India or Western World will still face industrial competition anyway. If you can not afford cheaper Chinese exports in 5 years time, then you won‘t be afford cheaper Vietnam/ Indonesian exports in 5 years time neither. 😂 Its not about how cost effiecient China isnow, but how to lower your own industrial costs against global competition.

Deflation? Wouldn't it be great so consumers can enjoy a cheaper products ?? If India wish to protect their local manufacturers, they can of course impose high tariff and import tax, so their local manufacturers can survive. Anyhow, protectionism cannot help the local manufacturers to grow, but make them weaker as none of them to expose to competition. So India leader is very shortsighted, not willing to take the challenge of competition. Its obvious because their political lifespan is limited, they only wish to please few rich men, instead of the long term benefits of their country. So when they step down from their current position, they can be rewarded by those rich men.

China understands that an impoverished global economy needs lower priced goods to survive and is helping to serve the world's poor by producing them ahead of the coming huge demand.

chaina is a twin like gog n magog. its own lands n its overlord lands. and it wants it that way ever since their first emperor made a decree that wherever chaina landed n stayed its chaina property. even the seas. you are always forgetting how that works. and it happened when the brits decided to rule the world with as much propaganda as they could use. but chainamen think in ways we still scratch our heads about.

When US and EU car manufactures face fierce competition from Japan and S.Korea in 1980~1990, they renovated and up the game by focusing on luxury brands. Germany, Japan and S.Korea over produced their cars than their domestic markets (at least 50% ~ 150%), hence become Export Powerhouse and earn massive foreign reserves, and up lift their economy.
@merrick6484
@merrick6484 Месяц назад
Yet, China only export 5% of their car manufacture capacity, and consume 95% in their own domestic markets. That alone is already freaking out Western World. 😂 Like it or not, Chinese knows how to produce Performance/ Costs products, just like Japanese, Taiwanese and Koreans. Even their labore cost has went up 2000% since 1980, and more expensive than ASEAN and South Asian countries. No one can beat manufactures from Far East Asians, not even US and EU.

China‘s GDP consists of 41% investment in Manufacturing and R/D in consumer goods. Why disturb them? Is the world ready for Chinese 41% investment in Defence Complex and Weapon Manufacturing? And lower the costs of missiles, Fighter Jets and Military Drones, and export to rest of the world at 1/10th of the prices? Be careful what you wish for? Rather let Chinese focus on EV cars, Washing Machines and Mobile Phones.😂
