That was fun...if nothing else, just to listen to your thought process! Non card makers look at our cards and say..well, that's lovely and simple....implying "easy"! BUT they have NO idea of all the little decisions we go through to make it look so simple and lovely! I once recited ALL the steps & decisions I went through to make the card I'd given her. She was blown away...and has much more appreciation for our craft now!

Once again you gave us a beautiful card! I love how you change your mind until you reach perfection. I love the embossing folder you chose and I love the white background piece instead of the blue. I never would have known how to make the basket china like! Thank you!!

Such a delightful card, I loved the blue boarder but that’s the beauty of life and art we all like different things. Love the tiny cornflowers & yes yr vase did like like china or porcelain so well done 😊loving yr mixed Medea cards too.

This is beautiful Chrissie, and the basket die was a lovely gift from Maureen, and really does look like ceramic with the added clear gloss EP. The blue flowers looks so pretty within it, and a great idea to add the embossed layer behind over the pierced one which finishes it perfectly. x

The basket reminds me of Belleek Porcelain from Ireland. The blue outline was striking but you are right, white on white is better. Thank you for another lovely idea and for sharing your talent with us. I have liked and shared this video.

The bit of embossing adds so much. I agree about the blue border being too heavy and i really like that you arranged the flowers vertically rather than having them spill over the sides.

So pretty. Now I need to make a card with flowers. 😊I learned a trick to put a very subtle edge of color or black on the edge of a card stock. You put your paper flat and your marker on the table, not on the card, but put it against the card and run it down the edge you get this really fine line which is very subtle and I really like. I’m sure you’ve seen this before but I just thought I’d mention it

I had a small porcelain basket that looked very similar to this die! My grandmother gave it to me when I was young and I always treasured it. Unfortunately, we had a devastating hurricane several years ago and all was lost. But looking at your card brought the memories flooding back. 🥰 Your card is beautiful! 🩷

I did think the blue was a good idea at the time, too, but I like the white much better. I thought I had one of the flower dies but mine is different. Beautiful finished card and the basket really does look like china.

You can buy the covers for Beastly At Glue where you buy the glue I think. ( I don’t really know as they were gifted to me) the thing which holds the strap thingy was made by a crafter’s husband in New York State
