No Christian, you need to know what is happening in Israel. You see this is check against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he is facing jail time many believe he will try to start a war with Iran.
"probably the worst week geopolitically the United States has had in YEARS" SO FAR, unfortunately the western democratic model is no longer synonymous with longer term stability and wealth creation. America's place as the poster child for democracy is ill deserved, perhaps Japan or South Korea would be finer examples (I am leaving out the UK which has effectively been a 1 party state for many years and obviously an ageing and populist Europe isn't a good example). Why should Brazil, the Philippines, India, etc look up to the US? The American dream used to provide hope, now it's just political polarisation, bickering, washing of dirty linen in public, the loss of Afghanistan (not forgotten anywhere BTW) and a middle class squeeze. America needs to come together or it will lose out in a big way, a loss of even 5 years in today's rapidly evolving world will leave their influence permanently diminished.
@@20thCentury_Turtle You don't know what you are talking about. America spent a trillion US dollar and twenty year losing two wars. And right now with the new NAFTA deal America, Canada, and Mexico is currently 1/3 OF THE ENTIRE WORLD ECONOMY! Astroass reaction: "Whaaaaat!!!!! how can, can that be Valentina Allegra de Fontiane?"
@@20thCentury_Turtle You see Astroass, I will tell you a secret something that never told about America. You see when Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte of the French sold Louisiana to President Thomas Jefferson in 1803 America's economy grew to be greater than British, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, German, and French Empires combined. And that is before we the United States took Texas, New Mexico, and California from Spanish / Mexican Empire.
@@20thCentury_Turtle You see Astroass this gave the United States the ability to do something no other Empire world has ever seen. We don't rule, we help other countries. After World World II the world was dying. Kings and Emperors and gotten into two world wars and Spanish Flu, it had killed 170 million humans world wide. The "Imperial Colonial System" which we rebelled against in 1776 was still ruling the world 1945. So we broke the "Imperial Colonial System", we created "New World Order", we forced the British and all other countries to give up their colonies. We made sure that they could never again control other countries by making sure US Dollar was the Reserve currency.
Like Gerald Celente said, and it's the TRUTH - the business of China is BUSINESS & DEVELOPMENT, and the business of the United States is WAR, DEATH & DESTRUCTION !!!
No Shen, the reason why Saudi Arabia and Iran did this, they are trying check Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to start a war with Iran to avoid having jail time.
@@kshen7485 what bothers me about ian bremer and people like him (Neil Ferguson) is that they are informed and they know better and still tell lies and misrepresent.
China cannot broker a deal between Russia Ukraine unless US is willing to give up the role it has invested hundreds of billions in Ukraine to achieve. The only problem is, those tax $ is all wasted and gone and unsustainable...
USA invested in Ukraine is successful and worthy to USA short term strategy to save itself from economical crisis, it is a typical “one stone kills more than two birds” game. 1. Broken the relationship between Russia and EU; 2. Increasing the EU’s dependency on USA; 3. Weakening the EU dollar and pushing investment back to USA; 4. Further weakening Russia, but not main goal.
The more I look at it, the more u.s. resemble the ex USSR, the ruling class are in complete ignorant of general population, and defence expenses went out of this world, yes, the time is near.
Referring to apartheid Israel as a "democracy" is just silly. Literally half of the people under Israeli control have no rights or vote. "Democracies" don't perform ethnic cleansing. It is our willingness to openly lie in this way that drives the developing countries to fear and distrust us. Our support for apartheid is one of the driving forces of our geopolitical decline and China's opening to take a larger geopolitical role. Pretending Israel is a democracy or that the "two-state" solution is still physically possible on the ground makes fools of us before the world, literally every serious person on earth knows this.
Why aren’t you concerned about Jordanians, you do realize that Jordan was Palestinian land as well don’t you? All Israelis can vote, not in Jordan. Where are the two state talks with Jordan? They hold way more Palestinian land than Israel? How do you explain the population explosion in the territories after 1948 at the same time that neighbouring Arab states emptied their prisons? Is it a lack of knowledge that drives your “NARRATIVE” or just plain antisemitism?
@@jimgaston9863 Standing up for universal human rights and against apartheid is not antisemitism. It is dishonest to pretend all Jews support the idea of government based on race and religion. The American Jewish community has a storied and heroic history of fighting for universal human rights. The specific type of false argument you employ is called ad hominid, or "attack the messenger." Because supporters of apartheid have no valid moral argument they are left with either "what-about-ism" (your Jordan attempt) or ad hominid false arguments like insinuating I'm antisemitic. Supporting universal human rights means, by definition, supporting Jewish human rights too. Your defense of the indefensible is not moral- neither is America's support for the apartheid state.
@@BrianFullerPDX1 you are so naive on things you have talk about. "apartheid"? you really anti-Israel disguised in in a moral high. you are not fooling anyone. Israel is what it is because it is surrounded by states that wants to annihilate them.
@Brian Fuller the crying wolf tactic of throwing antisemitic accusations so casually is not a very wise move yet they can't help it as it's there get out of jail free card apparently.
@@tegusentertainment8021 Yes, it is the third grade equivalent of responding "No I'm not, you are!" Thankfully the wafer thin rationalizations for apartheid/government based on race and religion are exposed by their ad hominid false attacks and what-aboutism. Even the latest generations of American Jews are becoming repelled by Israel's shame and inhumanity. I think American support for apartheid is in its final years. The justification well is running dry for even the morally challenged.
@Ian Bremmer, you are dead wrong. Biden has a perfect policy for the Middle East, which he has launched a couple of times already: Just yelling out to the entire universe with this chant, "pariah state!"
I am a Chinese. I can't speak for my government but I would rather say we do not want to become leader of the world. We just want peace and we would try our hardest to foster peace in the world. That's all. If we are considered a leader, then I think we would lead by example, by serving the world.
You need to Understand Lee, you very naïve. You see Iran and Saudi Arabia are worried. Because Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu might be going to jail to distract his people he will start a war with Iran. He already tried to do it when President Obama was in Office. So this is a "check" against the Israel.
Please, remember Saudi Arabia and Iran almost went to war last year. Saudi Arabia accused Iran of getting ready to invade their country in November of 2022. So those two still hate each other a lot.
@@Madame702 that's the difference between China and the US. The US wants to be hegemonic everywhere, not just the middle East. China just want to be good friends and do win- win deal all round. China doesn't want to manage or contain anyone unlike the US. This Iran - Saudi get together would have been done long ago but the US sabotage it by killing general Sulaimane. The US obviously can't say it out loud but I am sure they r furious that Saudi and Iran finally got back together. What the US want is divide and conquer. Keeping the 2 sides separate, create animosity between them so they stay weak while US remain strong and dominate the middle East. US is still occupying Syria and stolen its oil but not for long now.
China's position on the Ukraine war is essentially the same position they had of the American invasion of Iraq. There isn't hypocrisy when they emphasize a peaceful resolution and their own military non-interference.
Curious to see how US position would evolve once the Ukraine becomes more acceptable to this ceasefire idea. Pretty shocking to see the quote from John Kirby that the administration is opposed to any ceasefire just because it’s brought up by China.
Isn't it interesting, the US is totally unaware of the deal until it's announced? It's as if the Saudis are worried the deal may not be successful if the US is aware of it earlier.
The world doesn't need the security guarantees you talk about. Let the country focus on the internal needs atleast at par with all the world peace you're pursuing. We don't care so much for the world as we do for ourselves.
"Iran's regime", "Zi Jinping's China", "Saudi arabia and Iran to OPEN diplomatic relationship". The ignorant level is off the chart. I will stop here. Not sure why YT relentlessly recommending this video while blocking videos from Iran and KSA.
1 - China needs to protect energy flow. Strait of Hormuz (Persian Gulf) Also, the " Bab-el-Mandeb" (YAMAN) 2 - China has signed for fishing right in the Persian Gulf, which they will protect with their military when needed. IRI welcomes it. 3 - Iran has announced that they now have added a preemptive strategy to their defensive strategy. VERY AGGRESIVE MOVE ... 4 - The U.S. has TOTALY LOST TRUST in the middle east.
Let the sceptics say what they want! 😅 However China looks far ahead into its future to boost international trades of mutual benefits, growth & prosperity with all countries worldwide! With the restoration of the Saudi Arabia-Iran ties brokered by China, soon there would be a high speed railway & a highway in the pipeline; To plan & build by local joint-ventures with the Chinese to run from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia thru' Iraq, Bhagdad over to Tehran, Iran and link up with the main lines of the Belt Road all the way to major cities & Peking, China to further grow international tourism, trade and commerce. 😊
Hey, nobody is robbed at gun point. Iran and Sandi Arabia signed this deal because it is good for both countries. China just happened to be the middle man here.
Before I submit my question Ian, a little about me, I am an Iranian living in Iran and therefore I welcome the Chinese injection of soft power in our area. Now with that in mind, I would love to know your opinion about or even a short video about why is USA still stuck in a zero sum politics and power play when it clearly can gain so much more from both allies and foes if it decides to play a truly win win game. I can not but look in surprise as to how is it that America keeps being it's own worst enemy. Kind regards a foe from Iran.
The reason is America manufacturers mostly weapons and America has $31 trillion dollars in debt and growing. We Americans need to stoke fear and hate to sell weapons to keep our workers employed as well as keeping the dollar as the world reserve currency. It’s a win win for America.
@@npc2480 American politicians are like small children with real guns, without adult supervision. They're a highly dangerous, immature bunch who need constant monitoring by Putin and Xi Jinping.
Quick note on optics...I understand the importance of keeping the lights on, but international political economy analysis with the caption, "Sponsored by Bank of America" isn't the best look.
Hope this will help the USA to rethink its relationship with Saudi Arabia. It's time to confront the Saudis with their lack of democracy and human rights...
No Luis, were not here to reform them. Also, Iran is still pissed off at Saudi Arabia. Please remember in November of 2022, Prince Mohammad and Saudi Arabia raised the alarm that Iran was going to invade their country. Now scary thing is that Iran remained silent and didn't exactly deny this.
What a lovely way to described even more US military bases around the world which will only increased instabilities as ARCHITECTURE! Don't leave out those modern DECORATIONS to go with the ARCHITECTURE!
The alignment between China and Saudi Arabia when it comes to fossil fuels should surprise no one, but it's also an alignment that has a time stamp on it. The Saudis would be smart to keep this in mind, and pay attention to various projections for China in the not too distant future.
No Hammer, this deal is check against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He is facing jail time. They believe he will start a war with Iran, avoid going to jail. Saudi Arabia doesn't want this, so they agreed to reopen their embassies. Yea, I know they guys act more like Mafia boss then heads of State.
What time stamp are you talking about. China is the largest consumer of Saudi Oil. The US barely buys any oil from Saudi Arabia.. Saudi Arabia will always be willing to go along with its largest customer. The only reason why Saudi Arabia signed a deal for the petro-dollar is because the US was its largest client back in the 1970s. Not anymore
