China builds full-scale mock-ups of US warships in area used for missile target practice

Full-scale mock-ups of US Navy warships have been spotted near a weapons testing complex in a remote desert region of western China. According to the US Naval Institute, Chinese forces have been testing ballistic missiles in the Taklamakan Desert area in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. New satellite imagery from Maxar Technologies shows what appear to be the shapes of a US aircraft carrier and at least two Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers mounted on rails.
