3:50 As a german, I want to say that especially eastern Germany would better fit atheist too. Most eastern states have around 70-80% atheists or non-denominational. Which is on the same level as the Czech Republic. (Brandenburg is even higher than Czechia with around 81% compared to 78%)

3:14 I just looked it up, and yeah Greece and Denmark technically have state religions, but their citizens are given complete freedom of religion. In Greece, however, you do need government approval to establish a new religious building (approval is pretty readily available so long as you can prove that there are a substantial number of adherents to your religion), and proselytizing is not allowed (no people knocking on your door to ask if you have time to hear about the word of their lord and savior) The king/queen of Denmark is required to be a member of the state church (much the same as in the UK, except that in the UK the monarch can actually be any religion except for Catholic because of an old law). I imagine this is the case for Greece if they have a monarchy (I know that they used to be a kingdom no too long ago, but I don't know if they still have a monarch now)

? No, the UK monarch cannot be "any religion other than Catholic". I assume your error is assuming that just because "Catholic" is the only religion with laws specifically against that its the only one not allowed. This is just because Catholic's are the only other religion which had an actively good chance of getting on the throne. But, ever since Henry VIII created the Church of England, every monarch is also the head of the Church of England (as well as having the title "Defender of the Faith"). To hold this posititon they "must" be Anglican. This means that while "being monarch" doesn't technically require an Anglican religion qualification, it de-facto does, because you also become the head of that Church, the holder of which must obviously be of the same religion. At the very least it would require a "nominal" conversion to Anglicanism or changing the rules, but either way a change would have to be made or you would be ineligible.

Ludi if You're curious what happend with AE, then i'll explain. In this mod European Union can be unified, but before it get to that, they are only tied with a wierd alliance. This alliance does not involve military alliance, but if someone attacks ANY country that is in EU, every country in EU gets 1 AE per month for this war. So if Turkey attack for example Greece, if they fight this war 50 month, countries in EU will get 50 AE with them.

Some notes: actually there might be regions in south Korea where protestantism is the dominant religion. According to (german) wikipedia, protestantism is the largest religion in Korea, although there are more atheists overall. (56% without confession; 20% protestant; 18% buddhist; 8% other Christians) And to Kazakhstan having the same development as the outback in many areas: to be fair, it isn't desert, but it is steppe and also pretty much unpopulated except for nomadic farmers outside the cities.

The development in general is a bit controversial Chinas GDP is a bit more then 2/3 of the US GDP but got more development? Germans GDP is over 2.5x of Russia but has only about 200 development more? UK with almost 2x the GDP of Russia has way less development? I can just imagine that this is to balance the game and not let it be dominated by western countries but then why they boosted China that hard?

The scandinavian countries are pretty damn irreligious as well. The state churches are steadily declining per year and the reason they have high membership numbers is that citizens would be automatically included. For example all norwegian children that have a parent that is a member will automatically become a member... Although denmark isn't quite a secular state as it has a minister for ecclesiastical affairs.

lol Ludi, most likely Bregenz wanted to join Switzerland! The Austrian 'Bundesland (province) Vorarlberg' with its capital Bregenz is already considered as the "Kanton Übrig" (the province, that was unwanted / left behind) by Switzerland. a hundred years ago 81% of citizens in Vorarlberg voted in a referendum to join Switzerland. But Switzerland refused to take Vorarlberg. And a couple month later with the treaty of saint-germain-en-laye the situation changed and the referendum was considered irrelevant.

The Chinese Guaranteeing North Korea is actually an extremely accurate way of doing it. China is technically allied to North Korea but its really only because if they didn’t the South Koreans/ Americans would invade it by now and us troops would be able to be stationed on The Chinese border. They actually hate North Korea and think its crazy even by there standards and would probably get rid of it if they could but they need the buffer state so if WW3 happens the Allied Army cant enter china instantly. This is very unlike the usa and south Korea who actually like each-over. Also doesn’t hurt that the north Korean army is excellent so even though its intended to just be a buffer-state it could probably hold of for quite a while or At least long enough for china to reinforce them if necessary, possibly meaning no troops will ever enter Chinese land during WW3.
