I am from Guangzhou, but as you have visited HK and Shenzhen, you can skip it. I would suggest Shanghai and Hangzhou, developed and international, yet still very Chinese. Later you can try to explore Yunnan Province.

Watching from Shenzhen, China and will return to my home country tomorrow. 😃 After seeing your first high speed train ride from HK to Shenzhen, my family and I learned from your mistakes and managed to board the train (that we booked online) a few minutes before the train doors closed. 🚄 I visited several sights scattered around the city using the metro. 🚇 It is understandable why all public areas have security cameras and bag checks before using the metro. I also felt safe in China. Maybe if you had more time in Shenzhen, you would have visited more sights. I look forward to seeing more content for your upcoming China trip.

More camera does mean more safety. London has the highest density of camera. My relative went there and pickpocketed. She reported to the police, but the police just gave here a paper saying that she was pickpocketed so she could claim insurance. No investigation. I don't know what the cameras there for. In China, the police would search the videos and would try hard to arrest the perpetrator.

I travel in and out of China extensively, no problems, no issues, great experience except Shanghai pollution.

Don't visit any hot spots during students' summer or winter vacations, because it will be super crowded and expensive.

Some small tips 1. China is really hot, so please wear shorts this time. Ha ha ha, shorts can be worn in China. 2. If the internet speed on your mobile phone is slow, please check if the ESIM provider's high-speed data has been used up. After using a certain amount of data, it will be limited in speed. Going from high-speed 5G (300Mbps) to 2G (2Mbps) would be too sad. Also, using VPN in China can be really slow, except when VPN providers can provide high-speed bandwidth. 3. There are eight kinds of Chinese food, including Hunan food, Guangdong food, Sichuan food, Huaiyang Cuisine, and so on. This refers to breakfast, lunch, and dinner, not snacks. Tourist attractions sell many delicious snacks, and each city sells the same, so when you come to different cities, don't just eat the same snacks from the scenic area. 4. If you don't have much time, you can even eat Chinese cuisine from many places in one city. In Shanghai, you can enjoy Beijing roast duck from Beijing, hot pot from Chengdu, and Cantonese morning tea from Guangzhou. It's the same in his city, where various restaurants have chain stores with each other. The taste is also very good. 5. I recommend you drink a beverage, milk tea. I would suggest planning your China trip with the consideration of what is the best season for the place you are traveling. For the example, summer and winter won’t be ideal to travel around the Yangtze Delta Region, as it is very humid there making summer brutally hot and winter brutally cold. Spring is probably raining season in Yunnan but good to travel in Xinjiang when grasslands turn green and wild flowers bloom. Winter is not ideal for northern cities such as Beijing and Xi’an but Haerbin might be interesting with its Snow and Ice Festival. There is an international beer festival in Qingdao in summer.

As a Chinese, my favorite city are Nan ning and liuzhou in guangxi province where you can try various one of the most delicious and cheapest food in China(everything is cheapest of China there), especially barbecue with jam, different kinds of rich noodles（laoyou-noodles and guilin-noodles are not spicy, and liuzhou-rice noodles is spicy）, street food, rice-dumplings in morning market, 柠檬果子（an original drinks in liuzhou city. Nevertheless，Nanning（南宁）、Guilin（桂林）Liuzhou(柳州) three cities in guangxi province of China is especially suggested for you, because not only these three cities are one of most cheapest-charge and most delicious-food cities in China,but for you none-spicy cities are available for you to taste and travel around.For no reason, you have to come Nanning city(南宁) in guangxi province of China(it's in south of China and besides the guangdong province of shenzhen city where you are easy and the rapidest to come shenzhen(深圳) to nanning(南宁).
