Probably the best China Mac interview I've heard. Asked the right questions... focused more on him as a person and his music vs. his gang stories. Need more collabs of China Mac, Lyricks, and Dumbfounded.
Yo, it's hard not to talk with China Mac without touching on his past but this podcast is well done and focuses on his music and presence and social media influence instead of beating his past history to death.
FACTS. Great point. Mac's past got him to where he is today BUT let's talk about what he's doing TODAY. Mac is doing an AMAZING job at creative a NEW PAST this time around!!!
I'm a fan of Jin and China Mac. I first heard of China Mac back when he was called G-Kay and was featured on one of Flowsik's early mixtapes. Back then Jin and LS would release songs about China Mac too. It was great to see that Jin and China Mac were able to let the past go and talk things out. I think one big reason that China Mac has been able to get so much traction is because he shot Jin's friend, Louie. Shooting Jin's friend sort of gave him a platform, although a negative one, to work with. If China Mac had shot some random person in a bar in 2003, Vlad would have never even thought doing an interview on him. Personally, it has been pretty conflicting to be a fan of China Mac up until the video where Jin and China Mac spoke to each other. It's good to see that even the worst relationships can heal in time. Hopefully, China Mac can stay out of trouble for good now and have a successful career doing whatever catches on. It must be a challenge for him. As for Jin, he's still doing things, but he seems to be less ambitious now that he has a family. Hopefully, we continue to see more Asians blowing up.
"People only respect when you DEMAND respect." I needed to hear that. It's something that I know, but I never actually followed. I give out respect, but did I ever "demand" respect? Nope, not really. Because of that, I allowed myself to become weak and let people roll all over me. Not anymore. Thanks China Mac. "If you not demanding respect, then you dont deserve it." #FACTS
That's an Art. The undertone of your being. Being friendly, fun and inviting without being a tough guy for some is tricky. I'm glad you have decided to stick up for yourself.
Tiger jk and tasha! I need them on the show! Talk about her being biracial, the whole drug scandal with uptown, tigers illness, the breakup of drunken tiger, undercover female rap beef in Korea ( I heard tasha send some shots on some records), the whole iron man incident with their son, dealing with racist comments towards tasha and their son, tiger's late dad working for billboard (I believe back in the day) man so much history with those 2!!!! Please get them on the show!
This was one of my favorite interviews Dumb. China Mac is truly gettin that hustle goin and ya'll gotta help each other succeed. I'm proud to see ya'll connected.
I'm so happy to see my Asians people's collab with one another. Leave that bullshit bickering with that last generation. Also glad to see Mac happy and laughing. Something I hope he gets more of after all he's gone through. So proud of him. ✊
Outstanding! I dig all you guys' music. Certain songs you all did, Dumb to Yox, dealing with racism and earning your place in hip hop was paramount to the diversity of the culture WHILST repping your respective cultures! Proud of you all!
I think having shogunna on there would be dope. He came out during the early years with flowsik but he was always being overlooked. Def an asian MC that was and is very slept on
@@UlrichFirelordBOM That's what would make the interview interesting. How will Dumb handle someone who's internationally known, but really is only mediocre?
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM FOR DUMBFOUNDED: WHEN PEOPLE SEARCH FOR WORDS, DON'T ASK A FOLLOW UP, LET THEM THINK AND TALK. THAT'S WHEN SOME OF THE BEST SHIT COMES OUT. I WANNA KNOW WHAT MAC REALLY FEELS ABOUT VLAD. MY GUESS IS HE APPRECIATES HIM FROM A MEDIA/BUSINESS STANDPOINT BUT ALSO KNOWS THEY COME FROM VASTLY DIFFERENT POINTS OF VIEW AND BACKGROUNDS.
Yo mac this is coming from the heart. Met a dude from China visiting on the upper west side. He bnb the apartment where I live. We chop it up spoke about you and the culture Homie is a tourist bit I embraced him. I spoke about you by I follow you. Please meet him.
Dumb, could you work on the sound balance? The intro is normal volume, but the actual podcast is super quiet so it's hard to hear without turning up a lot.
