Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world...would do this, it would change the earth. One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. Protest beyond the law is not a departure from democracy; it is absolutely essential to it.

Thanks for telling the world what is actually happening in my hometown. This is definitely the darkest moment I can feel in my life. Asking for support might be too much, but please don't tease us. Some of us still desire freedom.

I lived in SH for five years. I lived throughout three years there. I left due to the covid lock downs and the control by the government. I am delighted to hear the people are taking a stance, and are doing this. It is time to scrap this stupid 0 policy, and for the Chinese to feel what normal feels like. Keep on going guys and girls x I can finally. speak out as I am not in China anymore and don't intend to go back

I feel sorry for the residents hurt by the fire. As residents of other provinces in China, I still don't know much about what is happening there. Not all places in the country are locked down due to the epidemic, but I can feel that some people are dissatisfied with the epidemic and some unreasonable measures. But we should all be clear that this is a country of 1.4 billion people, and prudent policies are the better choice to protect its residents from the novel coronavirus. But There may have been some inappropriate responses to the implementation of this policy.

Mr. Simpson's use of the word "social contract" between the CCP and its people is spot on. That contract is no more with Xi in his third and eventually perpetual term.

The white paper is not new to China..this has been evident in many observations for the government. The important is they are to be as established and firm in the details of businesses as well as transactions from private and public sectors.

Just look at the contrast between Taiwan and CCP China concerning covid. There's a reason why the Taiwanese don't want to be under the thumb of CCP rule. 25 million free and prosperous Taiwanese people ought to be able to remain that way.

Killed 44 not 10 and it took 3 hrs for the firefighters to get to the building only 1 mile away. There were cars and iron fences in the way they had to tear down and move.

My health code turned red queueing in line for covid test, the government locked down my building. People in my building risk losing their jobs because of me. Of course they're going to blame me and not the government.

This is still a tiny amount of people - but probably bigger than any uk protests against say preventing the destruction of the nhs, which would only result in missing a bit of shopping time rather than being arrested and beaten at minimum BRAVE people

I saw footage of a man at one of the larger protests giving a speech. He was screaming "Give me liberty or give me death!" Police tried to drag him away, but other protesters eventually managed to rescue him. The crowd erupted in a cheer when he was freed. THIS NEVER HAPPENS IN CHINA!. People are so afraid of being 'disappeared' themselves that they look the other way. These protests are different. People are chanting for Xi Jinping to step down. People are chanting for the CCP to step down. Every one of these people are risking their lives. Such Courage! Such bravery! 👏 I saw this on 'The China Show' special report on the protests. I can recommend this. It's footage you're not going to see anywhere else.
