Ford carrier has a better sortie rate. Even the older Nimitz can launch more aircraft at the same time than China's Type 003 Fujian. While the smaller "lighting carrier" Wasp and America class assault ships can have the same sortie rate with F-35Bs.

The idea of the Type 3 being comparable to the Ford is honestly just silly. The Type 3 is already hilariously antiquated. It runs on World War 2 technology. It's adorable. Recently, China’s navy received and ignored multiple SOS distress calls in the Middle East, to terrorists & pirates respectively, violating international laws of the seas. China demonstrated China is impotent & incapable of acting by like a good international actor against pirates & terrorists. @@Shyhalu @Shyhalu Yeah I understand. I also understand that deployed carriers aren't at risk of their rods being spent, they don't send them out with "the needle on the E". They plan years ahead for the refueling process and so if one was even headed in to be refueld/overhauled the process could be delayed if unexpected world events warranted it. No country is gonna catch a US carrier slipping, at sea afloat listless and vulnerable because lack of nuclear fuel for propulsion or operation of defensive and offensive weapons. As for the availability of uranium, I'm also sure they've planned ahead to have enough stockpiled for what is needed at least in the short term. They're not waiting for the carriers or subs to be a few weeks away from returning to port and then deciding to go out to Walmart and buy some. And two of the biggest uranium producers Australia and Canada are tight allies with us. They don't have as much as Kazakhstan but they have it.

I'm quite sure China has watched thousands of hours of carrier ops of the US and the UK and a few others. It is an art. It takes people who love what they do. From the deck crew and air marshal to the Ouija board to the mini boss then to the air boss. It is a concert. The bare minimum is launching an aircraft every 30 seconds ! Trapping an aircraft every 45 seconds ! Turn around time 10 minutes ! We do it faster and better than that. The USN carrier and strike group. I do believe China has had a lot of time watching with patience learning with patients. China will be no joke, that's for sure. They're only hope would be to take out our carriers. That goes both ways ! Just because the limitations of the Accord limits the amount of carriers don't think for one second the US does not have 3 fold in reserve. I'm not a warmonger. I don't want war. I don't believe Ming wants it either. They cannot even claim Taiwan has China territory just saying so doesn't make it so. Nor does saying the ocean belongs to China. That was the silliest thing I ever heard. We knew that they were dredging and building islands. The natural Islands of volcanoes were first come first served. Whoever claimed it named it. China has a lot of money and if their doctrine in defense and offense was of Japan in world war II. There will be a battle. I truly believe they're waiting for the right moment when they believe that we are thinned out between Ukraine and Israel. But they know without doubt we have more to bring to the fight. Nobody wants war. I surely don't. But those are the facts. God bless you all 🕊️🕊️🕊️

Okay, let's assume for a minute that the 003 is well equipped and meets Nimitz rather than the Ford. Now it's the oldest against the newest carrier. While the fortunes of war will on rare occasions, favor the weaker over the stronger (think Midway), that is generally not the case. The Chinese would be at a severe disadvantage against the US Navy. The Americans have over 100 years of experience of operating carriers, and have used their carriers thousands of times to attack enemies. Okay, let's do a check here and ask how many times have the Chinese used their carriers against an enemy (the wind blows across the hot desert while we wait for the Chinese guy to think of a lie to save face)? The answer, of course, is zero! Now, let's assume both carriers suffer hits and damage control is working feverishly to put out the fires. Which Navy has ships that have been built tough from actual war experience, and which Navy doesn't know how to deal with battle damage? In the end the 003 will be on the bottom, while the Nimitz will lick her wounds as her repair crews get planes quickly back into the air and clear the ocean of foolish Chinese admirals that thought they were a match for the US Navy.

You say a us carrier doesn’t need a dedicated oiler however the aircraft’s still need fuel so they always have a oiler around both for fuel and food supplies

Since the Russians are always completely drunk everywhere, it becomes difficult to even find the button. Or why do you think that the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet is now at the bottom of the sea? Simply, because the Russians could not find the button for their air defence.
@davidelliott5843
@davidelliott5843 7 месяцев назад
Russia found the air defence button but nobody was watching the radar. If they did launch SAMs they didn’t work. And after the missiles hit they couldn’t find any working fire extinguishers.
@howiescott5865
@howiescott5865 6 месяцев назад
Fire extinguishers? They couldn't find any because they didn't have any because they thought they were sooo good, they didn't need any. Russia is the best enemy any country can have. All you have to do is supply your own popcorn.... Duhh... I wonder why Russian arms sales is on the down side? @@davidelliott5843

That according to Einsteins unified field theory the magnetic field used to slow the aircraft before it lands can also be used as a force field no one actually knows it's true capabilities but you fire missiles at it and try to sink it you're going to find out the hardware just how deadly the Gerald Ford actually is

Regardless, the US has been investing those amounts for decades and china just started being able to, and the catch up they have done in technology has come from thievery and espionage rather than through experience and hard work. Good luck on the upgrades C

If China was any threat, they would start helping in international arbitration and abiding international law. Or declaring war when their sovereignty was challenged. They are a paper tiger, but they can play pretend 😂 When China starts helping on the global stage, and seemingly not self interested. That's when you worry 😂

Lets also point out that Chinese jets have to launch with just a few weapins and half the fuel as they are extremely underpowered. Just like Russia

Are you stuck in WW2 mentality? Why send a jet to do what guided missiles launch from a destroyer can do cheaper and better? Between super powers, Jets are toys for peace time muscle flexing. Life expectancy of any jet are a one way trip during war. The moment its weapons bay are open it will be locked by multiple guided missiles.

The Gerald Ford can launch planes with the slingshot and slow them down with a magnetic field you do realize that according to Einstein's unified field theory this could also be used as a force field to protect the entire Gerald Ford not to mention the laser weapons it's carrying

US Navy has Air superiority. China doesn't have the real world experience or combat experience. Plus I can bet one thing the US Navy has a huge advantage that China doesn't have, Our Naval Aviators are trained to fly by instruments which means we don't need daylight to fly. A huge advantage over anyone. We learned our lessons well thanks to the Japanese Imperial Navy teaching us this hard lesson starting with when they brought us into WWII. It was brought to the attention of the power that be that we needed to learn precision bombing and increase carrier forces 5 years before the attack on Pearl Harbor. At the time we had a formidable Navy with lots of ships, and a pretty big Army as well. That is how we fought our wars until that point, we didn't focus on the air, shoot we didn't even have an air force that was run by the Army. The powers in charge disagreed with the information presented to them, a decision that would haunt the Navy on December 7, 1941. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Military strategy changed and the realization that we needed to learn precision bombing was proven by the Japanese. IT is one of the reasons why our pilots and Naval Aviators are trained the way that they are. I am sure in a few years the Chinese will become a formidable opponent but right now, they are still learning and building. I wouldn't say they are not a threat but they have a lot to learn.

If you don't have a nuclear reactor (or TWO nuclear reactors as featured on the new Ford class super carriers) to provide power then you can't really use an electromagnetic catapults system usefully.

The issue is we don’t send enough destroyers with an Aircraft Carrier battle group! They will get overwhelmed if China decides to really try to damage an entire group. The Navy needs to increase the number of destroyers sent with every battle group. There will be more defensive missiles and radars working together.
