Do you blame us? The BJP seems preoccupied imposing Hindi and rallying up Hindu nationalist. Tamil Nadu has always been secular since ancient Tamilikkam. Following Thirukkural, the father of Tamils. Separatist movement will continue to grow if Delhi doesnt respect us. Just like the north east states, Tamil Nadu & Kerala was never under Mughal empire control. Hence we are different from mainland india states.

If you go to South India (Tamil Nadu, Kerala, etc) or East India (i.e West Bengal) or NorthEast India (i.e Mizoram, Nagaland, etc) , people will say their ethnicity first. North India is heavily divided on religion. In fact, the formation of Bangladesh in terms of religious line become bloody, with the Bangladesh-Pakistan war where Urdu (arabic script) was forced, when Bengalis were more united with their language and identity than being concerning about religion.

@Airbus A350 Look, I'm not worshiping anyone. I have already analysed it and this theory is similar to offensive realism as I mentioned in my comment. Yes you're right in some facts but not all what you said is True. Yes there is a need to concentrate more on NE states but at the same time you can easily see how much central government is acting on it's look east and act East policies. You can also easily see the difference between the allocation of funds in NE states and other central states. Everything depends upon the internal politics within the states also central interference is important for it equally. This area is Maoist hit region and most of the states are under 6th schedule. Not everything what central government thinks fits into their arena. Yes centre has to focus more on this region but without the ascent of people who are residing there ie the local people, centre cannot just apply their whims and fancies. So with the proper consent and without much political interference from the regional player eg. players like NSCN (just giving one example here) NE region's growth is possible.
