If China grows at 4%:-It adds 800 Billion annually to it's GDP(around 25% of Indian GDP). If India even grows at 10%,it just adds 400Billions which is half of what China adds. Growth rate is not actual growth. For Example a kid who score 90 out of 100 consistently,the scope of growth is lot less than a child who scores just 40 of 100. We should try to achieve atleast 10% growth rate in upcoming 5 years to even be eligible to be compared to China. Right now there is no comparison anywhere,they are just too much developed than us.

@@maxton8003 China is now the largest exporter of car even with US sanctions and tariff.If China is doing so badly , why the US and Europe are so worried and find all excuse to put tariff on chinese exports and why does the US need all its european allies and india to contain China. You are correct ma'am. India's growth percentage may be double that of China, but since India's economy is six times smaller, India are actually still growing three times slower. Some countries like Guyana have huge 38% growth, but that growth amount is still less than the 0.5% growth of the U.S. because their economy was so much smaller.

It also means a lot of loss from its previous number. Its base is high. So expectations is higher else productivity is low. You need to learn how to use percentages for growth comparasion. It is not done directly based on absolute numbers because absolute amount will depend on size of country and initial yearly base and does not give relative information with respect to itself or with others.

It is still good for china, bcoz chinese major market is eu, and nowadays eu is in recession. But for sure chinese gdp will surpass usa in next 8-10 yrs. Bcoz china working on new market(not india but other growing economies). I hope india will do same otherwise our golden decade will end soon.

China will soon drop further in GDP growth rates as Chinese products are of cheaper quality compared to Western and countries like Taiwan, Japan,India & S Korea. Chinese exports are falling and their real estate companies are going bust. Investors will now move to other high growth countries with stable policies and high potential for returns .

China's growth rate will never go down and neither products too in our country everyone using Chinese company made phone do u really think they switch to other products we as Indian itself not trust our product, china GDP growth rate is 5% which is far better than 3.8T economy with 7-8% growth rate in world maybe their propoganda but china image is far better than India in outside world specially in western countries and jo dikhta hai wohi bikta and China got more stable politics as compare to indian democracy compare when china economy was 4T dollars rather than comparing with around 19-20T dollar economy growth rate india never lead in world company until 2060s

Thats not how comparisons work. Comparison of consecutive quarters mean nothing. Only YoY comparisons matter. A minor drop or miss in growth is blown out of proportion. If you think a $15+ trillion economy growing at 4+% is bad news, wait till you see numbers for UK or germany or france
