You and everyone who watches this channel. Lol. No intentions on visiting. There's a gazillion of countries to visit. Good job ccp. You are one step closer to economic collapse.
I’ve been very critical of Chairman Xi and the CCP often and have encountered his apologists in the comments sections of various sites. I’ve wondered if they are keeping tabs on us. You’d probably be apprehended even if you are just passing through a Chinese airport.
The end of the video, warning of social media comments, was an eye opener, so I echo the comments in this sub-thread. born2bwild got 56 upvotes. Even if I was super careful during a visit, good chance my previous postings would make me a 500,000 candidate. I'd joke "what are visiting days?" but my trial would be behind closed doors, as most/all are. @@jmseipp
You should see the first day arrival from the 6 countries that were recently granted 2 weeks visa free stay in China. Very good response. China can expect many more visitors as the word gets around.
The irony of it is where you would usually see high traffic of people are airports and malls, in China it’s empty, and where you would not want an influx of people is, is where the people are converging nowadays…. It’s in the hospitals!!! ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
Don’t talk rubbish. Most flights has already relocated to Daxing Airport , do you think Chinese has to continue to treat you as master without any dignity ?
I flew into Capitol airport in August and the place was empty! But can anyone be surprised, especially when China imposes arbitrary exit bans? What business person would go to China knowing that there is a risk they will be detained and prevented from leaving because of a business dispute with a local Chinese company or person! It has happened before unfortunately!
@@tokaitrading8335 What a useless answer; totally irrelevant!! Even the number of passengers using domestic flights is greatly reduced, so this has nothing to do with who the passenger is but rather with capacity usage. 多么无用的回答;完全无关!!甚至使用国内航班的乘客数量也大大减少,因此这与乘客是谁无关,而是与运力使用量有关。
Many would and have. On the first day of the 2 weeks visa free policy extended to 6 countries, there were more than 2 thousand arrivals. More will come, especially from Malaysia. China is nearby, affordable and has always been a favorite holiday destination for them. Due to cultural ancestral ties
@@kamsunleong6648 sorry to say this no malaysian in their right mind would go there. Especially malaysian know the cause of pandemic covid19 is china.
@@kamsunleong6648there are many pro CCP in Malaysia, I just came back from Malaysia, having stayed there for three weeks, I found out most people in Malaysia did not know what is going on in China, especially about the white lungs or A/E inundated with children etc, not to mention about organ harvesting or the Uyghurs concentrations.
You should see the arrival of visitors on the first day of the 2 week visa free policy extended to 6 countries. Really good response especially from Malaysia. China can expect many more to come as the word gets around. Hope they extract it to more countries.
Seeing those images I would say its down 99%. 2 international flights a day? México city airport has 300 international flights per day. So if we consider that China and Mexico being economically similar the numbers should be similar too.
I lived in China for 12 years , from 2010 to 2022. From 2010 to 2014 Chinese people would smile when they saw a foreigner, ask for photos, try to invite you to their homes for lunches and dinners. After the Bastard Xi took over from Wu Jintao and Wen Jiabao, people started to get brainwashed by TV and school that foreigners are bad. The result is that I left China in 2022 and the Guangzhou airport where I left was deserted, at the international wing 80% of the stores were closed. I'm never going back to China unless Xi gets deposed. Going to Taiwan instead to practice my mandarin.
i just comeback from back from china enter china 31 july 2023 and left 21 aug..china really terrible undr Xi peng..china look foreigner like we are bad people
@@tokaitrading8335 Daxing airport international departure is abandoned , most stores closed because of your Dictator Xi Jinping who is ruining China's economy. Ni shi wu mao ma?
For most people, once they've visited China once, that's enough for life. Heck, most people in China will commit felonies to move to western countries. In fact, many do.
Most young people in China have given up in life. Unemployment, low salaries, property being unaffordable, competitive job markets, university degrees that don't hold any value outside of China have made many question what's the point in living. It's not easy for them to just move to the US or EU either as you need funds to do so, so that's not always an option.
For sure, on the other hand you have people who travel to Japan once a year for tourism so it’s not a lack of money, it’s just a lack of interest in China.
Totally untrue. From someone who visits almost annually. The new 2 weeks visa free policy extended to 6 countries has received great response on the very first day. More than 2k visitors and they can expect many more to come. Ghey should expand this policy to more countries
3 years Zero Covid politics take its price, companies go to places where they got what they order in time, where their patents are not stolen, and less pressure from different sides
VW and Audi just announced they are moving their ev production up China. They know where the action is happening and its not in Wolfsburg or Inglostadt, Germany.
@@kamsunleong6648 I think it’s because western world isn’t buying much EVs as China. Westerners are skeptical of EVs reliability and real value in emission savings. China seams to buy more EVs and their local EV brands are a bit questionable in quality.
Unrealistic demand expectations?? Back in '18, they hit 100M passengers. It's only due to the post covid/combative CCP gov't/poor CCP gov't policy that led to the collapse of passenger traffic down to 13M in '22. So it's not really the airport authorities fault.
@@supertouring1 The PRC has been going downhill since 2011. They relied so much on the magic gdp number as the ONLY thing that matters. They've lost everything else as a result.
My country have many Chinese, local and foreign 😅 But I ended up frowning around the foreign Chinese each time they throw trash everywhere like seriously! There's a trashbin near them! Even the local Chinese reprimanded them 😅 Locals at Chinatown is practically like saviors to us against those rowdy foreign Chinese 😅
Used to have my bicycle racks made in china but with the cost of shipping being over triple of what it used to be and the pandemic and anti foreigner attitude i moved my operation back to the states. took a hit in profits by 20 percent but saved in shipping costs which was as much as 8k per shipping container. i made sure to bring back all the tooling and molds so they didnt keep making them under a different name.
Or the moon. Did i say moon shine or moon walk w/ Michael Jackson. So beat it.. just beat it. God bless the 2 Michael's from Canada. O Ca-na-da. J Trudeau😮ha.ha..🎉🎉🎉🎉
I had China in out bucket list to visit in the next few years but that’s no longer a plan. We will never go there and we even refused to buy an airline ticket that had a stop over there or in Hong Kong when we went on vacation just this past spring. Not only we won’t visit China, we even stopped buying anything made in China. We take the time to look at where a product was made or manufactured before making any purchase.
Empty promises from CCP mixed with corruption and way too rosy forecast have doomed this airport. This will be a living monument and a reminder to the foreigners not to invest there.
I was in Beijing Capital Airport before Covic and it was very busy. I would love to visit China again but with the new anti-espionage law, I better not. What if I was in the wrong place at the wrong time or took wrong pictures? I might end up in jail.
China has destroyed its tourist trade all over the world and in the United States for sure. The cost, the long time, and the trouble it takes for Americans to get a visa to China is one of the main reasons . This is also true for some European Nations as well.
When reading flight numbers, you never say the "hundred" or "thousand" when reading a number unless you are referring to zeros in the number. It's just read off as digits, like a phone number.
The price of a ticket from North America has gone up several fold Use to travel business for 3500-4500 RT now its 8000 min many times over 10K. BTW there is a second new airport in Beijing now Your video is showing the previous one
Last couple years ago, when China celebrated the completion of the new biggest airport. I said this Airport will be empty soon. And now, it’s empty very few people traveling. Very smart guessing. I’m so proud of myself.
From canada. TMK we actually have very few direct flights going from vancouver to china. I believe there was some government restrictions from USA and Canada for direct flights. I heard from relatives who flew back recently that they had to fly to HongKong to get into China.
@Radonslur Totally untrue. Their 2 weeks visa free stay policy extended to 6 countries just came into effect. Great first day response with more than 2 thousand visitors. Many more will be coming.
From what I've heard about china from the few visitors that had been there, none of them had anything good to say about it, so china shouldn't be worried about their international image 😅
If I had the money to go to China I'd be going to the Republic of Taiwan. Doubtless the busy little bees guarding We Chat know my views on the workers' paradise of west Taiwan....I wouldn't even risk a flight path that stops over in China.
Honestly, visiting China is like visiting North Korea. China is one of the few countries that required all foreigners register with the police upon arrival regardless of where you came from. I mean, did I committed a crime by simply visiting your country or what?
wow!! i visited China for 5 days in November 2012 tour the city of Beijing Great Wall Forbidence City, etc so i was lucky the Beijing Airport is very busy lot of restaurant, fast food, coffee shop and duty free shop....watching from California USA
My family and all my friends have decided not to go to China anymore. We have seen many areas of China already. It’s a pity, we used to enjoy going to Beijing and Shanghai especially and get service apartments. The downside is that they are not very friendly but found it safe for tourists.
I belived the humble locals of china are still friendly when u get to see the old ethnic groups of China. GOD is not a failure to have good people even in China. Still believe in humanity
@@gc825 yes there are some but most of whom we have encountered are rough and rude. It must be their way of life too. Mainland Chinese who live in Hongkong are usually very rude, this is from experience since I was going to Hongkong since my school days up until the pandemic. I had Business dealings so was often there.
Wow, What a surprise. They built a much bigger and more modern airport called Beijing Daxing just south of town and the traffic at the old airport has decreased. This is a BS story.
Was there in 2013 and it was super busy. Now the CCP has cracked down and are in freefall economically. Back to Mao times. What a sick and distorted government!
Hmmm, well, to be fair, a key question is when these videos of the nearly empty airport were shot. A clue is that at 1:40 in the video, the outside of the airport shows a very early morning sunrise, with the sun barely above the horizon. As Beijing is located quite far north, sunrise can be anywhere from 4:45AM in June to 7:35 AM in January. Most major airports around the world will be nearly empty and deserted and with their shops closed during that early morning period. So, although I do like and follow this channel's videos, I always try to be a bit skeptical of everything I see and hear, and cross check other possibilities, and your videos about China are so uniformly negative that I have been wondering just how much you are exaggerating. Here, I am pretty sure that a lof of the videos you are showing are of the Beijing airport during its normal early morning hours. That key shot of the sunrise is the only frame of reference as to what time of day these videos might have been shot.
You're right to be sceptical, almost all the YT propaganda on China conflicts with what I have seen while living and travelling in China since 2000, until my last exit in October.
@@ianrichardson3228 Well, to be sure, China's economic activity is suffering, and there is a lot of flight of foreign companies from China, and a lot fewer foreigners visiting China. But it's hard to get a handle on just how bad it is, since most of the western mainstream media hasn't quite caught on yet. I do think this video is an exaggeration, though, and that these are just videos of the airport in the early morning hours.
The channel was created by Falun Gong, an organization that China labeled a cult and banned 20 years ago. They fled to the United States, and they have been making up rumors
Freight and logistical mobility are affected. If you order online, it takes twice or thrice the duration for an parcel to be delivered in the US. I'm afraid of social unrest that might come after an economic slump. The government needs serious actions and changes. Due to China vast connection to world economy, its problem will affect nearby economies too in Asia.
This is the problem when you build things too fast. You think you need the infrastructure but one thing changes and now you are paying for all this infrastructure you aren’t even using. This is why you have to be careful building large mega projects.
This is what happens you want a closed economy and make global corporations your enemy by passing vague espionage laws. Also the direct result of a corrupted society. The decay is a trickle down effect that permeates through every aspect of society.
Korea did it perfectly. - In 2000, Gimpo airport had 36M passengers - In 2001, the new Incheon airport had 14.5M and Gimpo had 22M - Incheon steadily increased to 33M by 2010 - Gimpo leveled out around 13M, but then started to increase again to 17.5M by 2010 - In 2019, Gimpo airport was at 24.5M - In 2019, Incheon was at 71M 20 years after Korea built another airport, they went to almost 3x as many passengers. Also, they built Incheon airport in multiple phases. They are on their 3rd expansion.
they don't care about demand, they are building because of prestige, like the high speed trains, most are nearly empty, they operate all in debt, but they continue to open new connection. Simply insane, the waste of money and resources!
great content, the background audio (original chinese audio) was a bit too high in volume compared to the English dubbing, good to double check in the future.
@@ChinaObserver0 I’d much prefer hearing the original voices though with subtitles. It allows the emotions of the speakers to come through. I think dubbing is an American preference.
Hi plz make up your minds. The headline says "empty" airport, another guy in the comments section says it was "jam packed". Their common ground appears to be only to smear China. Whether its "empty" or "jam packed", what does it matter for the average viewers?
