Even if they do get 6 they're all smaller, weaker, and not as advanced as the US. Experience also matters a ton: US carriers outperformed Japanese carriers in WW2 in most instances because while both countries were some of the first to adopt aircraft carriers the US used them more (patrolling pretty much the entire Pacific and Atlantic while Japan was more regional) and had a better training system. China has zero experience with carriers or naval combat, and they've only begun training the first generation of sailors, they're like Japan in the 1920s. Tech also matters a lot. China is copying Russian/Soviet aircraft carriers and even the Soviets realized they couldnt challenge the US at sea, their aircraft carriers were as much for dick measuring contests as they were real warships and we can see how their carriers perform with the Kuznetsov.

So your saying let’s put an old nuclear reactor that needs expensive refuelling off the coast. Then have people on it to run it as a power station and sink it. In an old submarine that isn’t safe anymore and will need really expensive refits. It would be cheaper and easier just to build a self contained reactor and put that on a ship. Naval reactors aren’t that powerful compared to civilian reactors and they use highly enriched fuel instead of low

The US uses its carriers to intimidate and project power, nothing less. However, in today's world, it appears aircraft carriers may be going the way of battle ships as drones an missiles are dominating conflicts. Experts like you always underestimate the enemy. For example, the Houthis have attacked US and UK naval ships in the Red Sea and the Eisenhower left and a carrier from the Pacific, the Roosevelt is on its way to replace it. Interesting that the Eisenhower couldn't wait for the Roosevelt to arrive and that the Roosevelt had to go from the Pacific to the Middle East. Where are the other 5 carriers supposedly in the Atlantic? Did the Eisenhower leave because a Houthis missile hit it? The US denies it, but alternate media says it happened. The Chinese have better missiles than the Houthis and two are called carrier killers, designed specifically for attacking US carriers. Have you also noticed that the US Navy sends its older ships via the Taiwan Straits? Maybe the US is afraid it could lose a few ships by putting them in dangers way. In fact over the last 48 years, only two US carriers have transited the Taiwan Straits. The last time was 23 years ago.

Yeah the PRC is actually really behind the times. The US and UK have had carriers since the 1910s and a bunch of countries got them in the 20s and the US had the first nuclear aircraft carrier 63 years ago and the first nuclear ship in general 65 years ago. Experience also matters a ton in performance as Japan learned in WW2.

All depends where they're deployed. China has hundreds of Carrier-killer missiles. It's why the USA will not deploy multiple aircraft carriers within the first island chain. They would be sitting ducks.

Many folks would understand that after 1949 the Chinese government was in taiwan. The Communist party was an illegal organization when it took power, and any claims that it made during the 70s are without merit. But the CCP has spent a lot of money over the last few decades to make folks forget that the legitimate elected Chinese government is in taiwan.

The legal government of China has been in Taiwan since 1949.

@@acmhfmggru Wrong court! The Treaty of San Francisco states that any sovereignty claim shall be judged at the International Court of Justice. The Philippines went to the International Arbitration Court knowing the Chief Justice was Japanese and decidedly biased because Japan also had a claim in the East China Sea over the Senkaku/Daiyu Islands. That judge should have recused himself as did an Indonesian judge. He did not. Further why didn't Japan bring its claim before this tribunal? Maybe because the Japanese know better and if brought forth, it would look stupid before the wrong court. And, lastly, the arbitration court requires both parties to the arbitration attend, The Chinese were MIA, so no legal verdict could be achieved.
