I never thought I would end up watching military parades but the precision and timing of the Chinese must be as near perfection as it gets. It certainly makes a spectacle.
what use is mindless stomping about in a soldier. Their joints must be flogged out pretty bad. Its just to impress the civilian population. How much actual training can they get if they spent this much time learning to prance. I read of one Nth Korea escapee who said the bulk of the army didn't get any training with advanced equipment or battlefield tactics at all. Just gunnery and marching.

The marching precision of these beautiful lady military is mindboggling. They seem to move as if they were a single unit. Just look at their white caps: They all seem to move at the same height, no up or down motion. How this was accomplished is a puzzle to me. No matter how it was achieved, they are a beauty to behold.

Not sure why you clip the video from marching left to right, looks strange. The red dress are national guards (weekend soldier) and the other colors uniform are professional regular soldiers. They are all about the same height averaging 5’10”.

I like it, I wish modern western country would be more like this, as an ex soldier I can tell that most military units spend about 25 to 35% of their time on marching and other drill, more at the beginning and before parades etc. if western countries had this kind of discipline then they wouldn't be over run with dis respectful teenagers and youth who would rather lay around at home and do nothing, then get into alcohol and drugs

Sorry, but pomp and ceremonies do not make discipline or warriors. These people practice for months just for this parade. Look up the RU-vid videos of North Korean military defectors. They are on starvation rations, they are ordered to go into the countryside to take a percentage of what little food is produced. Military defectors recount how their training is mostly propaganda indoctrination and singing patriotic songs. They describe the miserable condition of their equipment and low morale. If you take a close up look at the women's shoes, many of them are tied to their feet. Most of those carrying weapons in the parade have no idea how to disassemble them or use them. Everyone in North Korea must serve something like 8 years of military service, hey the Northing military defectors are amazed at the weapons, training, and condition of the South Korean and American forces. Their armor is old Soviet era tanks and vehicles and ditto their air force. The one thing they do have is massive artillery that can cause severe damage to Soul in the event of a war, but North Korea is incapable of doing much more than that. As soon as their forces get on the roads to conduct and invasion, they will be immediately destroyed. And I will say that while China is much more capable than North Korea, they have their own severe weaknesses. China's air force has the same problems that Russia has in establishing air superiority over Ukraine. They are controlled centrally and have a very ridged doctrine that doesn't allow Russian pilots to adapt to changes to the situation in air to air combat. This is why the Ukrainian air force is still sending up their MIG's and Helicopters after nearly 2 months. This is why China is watching Russia very carefully in Ukraine because China will face similar resistance if they invade Taiwan. China will have to fight through Taiwan's air defense systems, anti-ship systems, mines, prepared positions, complete knowledge of their own terrain, and the will to defend their country. Taiwan will have thousands of anti-tank missiles and can use them in terrain that is to their advantage. I served 21 years in the Marine Corps as an infantry officer with 3 years in combat. I was a Marine platoon commander in Vietnam 1968-69. The Viet Cong and North Vietnamese beat us because they had the will to defend their land, and they were tenacious fighters. We had the superior weapons, but they had the will and our politicians and people did not have the will to win that war. And I'll tell you this, the one and only way to have won the Vietnam war was to have committed overwhelming forces to invade North Vietnam WW II style. The war would have been over in a year and won instead of 10 years and losing. Ditto the Taliban. They wore us down until we retreated like a bunch of cowards and they won. We haven't won a major war since the end of WW II. Iraq doesn't count because the enemy is still there fighting us. You know what I think? Our senior commanders no longer study military history and so they think technology is going to do the job. Not so. It takes the will to win no matter what technology you have. I sincerely doubt that North Koreans have the will to go through what will be a catastrophic meat grounder if they invade South Korea. And the US has a new weapon that could be a game changer. We have a new cruise missile that has the ability to use microwaves to fry all of the electronic within its range. By that I mean that every piece of electronic within its range will be permanently disabled. So much for North Korea or China's ability to coordinate during a war in which the US is participating. North Korea is scary, but they don't have anything like the capability of Japan or Germany during WW II.

The drop in efficiency and preparedness is usually spotted by the more intelligent officers and they start letting us think again. If this continues, they may slowly begin to gain the respect they need to function.
You’re right. This kind of drill has nothing to do with staying awake on security or even basic weapons maintenance, much less the ability to patrol quickly and quietly

Although there marching is very precise. It's how good are they in combat, that's a true test, and not just marching in step. Anyone can train you that.
The less trained in combat the more respect they get from other countries. China isn’t about war they rather use diplomacy than go to war. They do not need nor want to take. They only have an army for defending Thats it
