Because the foundation of the country is already there, this is not poverty,the ability not to work for half a year or even years and play video games all day,that itself is a privilege.... While their parents generation probably created the most billionaires and millionaires in any generation,I suspect the gen z and alpha of china will fulfill the prophecy of being the poorest wealth percentile owners ,not because of the lack of opportunity but because they having the previous generations build everything for them,are birds in a gilded cage by china 's relative standards, when presented with choices at every point in life they will always choose the softest easiest path of least resistance,do nothing and wallow in self pity.

Even if China was extremely prosperous, graduates would live on the streets for the most part, because every year thousands of kids graduate for a minescule amount of jobs at their level of training. Idealy, these people would migrate to Europe where the inverse is going on. Not enough highly educated people for the amount of career-opportunities overthere, primarily caused by students opting for fashionable studies.

Why not do what the indians do? Move abroad somewhere. Plenty of countries have low populations and labor shortages. So go there. You'll face racism, but atleast food to eat.
