The mine closed and it might be a park now. You can still find it on google earth. The rails were lifted from the Sandaoling opencast mine a few months ago and trucks now do the work.

@@danielthoman7324 70 years ago (1950) Oliver Iron Mining was almost fully dieselized. The other mining companies in Minnesota had pretty much all switched to trucks.
Летом 1982 года довелось служить на границе в тех краях и в бинокль наблюдались те же паровозы. Уже тогда это поражало архаичностью происходящего так как в СССР паровозы почти уже не использовались.
Я бывший работник каръера, да наши экскаваторы самые лучшие , надёжные , простые в производстве , не дорогие , экономичные, и долговечные , на наши экскаваторы люди с училища на экскаватор и на пенсию выходят, а экскаватор продолжает дальше служить .
