I think there are opportunities for the education companies to pivot - subjects outside core curriculum, lifelong learning or vocational subjects that target reskilling of Chinese labour market to focus on services (part of China’s development plan is also to rebalance economy towards services). Though we’re unsure which company would be in best position to take advantage. Perhaps only when the dust settles we’ll be able to see how these companies were able to cope with the restriction and regulations. For now, TAL and EDU business model is disrupted and things do not look good.

Good luck from Canada 🇨🇦! My first 1 million was very hard to accumulate. After that, the next millions gets easier over time. Not sure if it’s a common thing to invest in China stocks in Singapore, but I wouldn’t touch it ever again. You wanna take the unknown factor out of your stock portfolio. Why is Malaysia property only worth 32K?

1) In the 5-year plan, China will invest heavily in smart cities eco system. EV (Xpeng, Li auto, BYD, Geely, Nio etc), UAV (Ehang), AI (BAT), Xiaomi (IOT), blockchain (NCTY, Canaan) just to name a few. I guess EV won't not be targeted for now 2) I think private education is considered gone...just my opinion 3) No investment in USA? Maybe like a hedge against China 4) For crypto, do look into NANO as well

@@Lolaprus not sure why you ask (maybe because he likes NANO?) but no :) I have been into NANO for quite a while (then Raiblocks). I recommend $LINK as well, but $XNO is more straightforward. Anyway i think chicken genius is also not into Chinese counters

It would be good to get a bag of $Coupang at a current price below $35. It's practically a steal now, after the earnings report loss. Long term gain minimally 3x.

I share the same perspective on your sharing of investment in China. It is going to get choppy but its a necessary step to regulate the tech sectors before they get out of control. I am of the view that the recent Chinese actions on tech companies (less the Ed tech I suppose) had been overblown by detractors. If you are in for the long run with investment in China, this correction is probably a necessity. Can’t say much about the American market though, its too good to be true to be on this bull run for such a long period. The crash will similarly be spectacular. Anyway, good sharing!
