She's the only volleyball player who has won an olympic gold medal as a player and as a coach, not to metion the only one to have won back to back world cup golds both as a player and as a coach. A few players are still active like Yuan. Gong is actually a very powerful player, wonder why she’s not as well recognized as Li YY. Too bad Zhang not in the team anymore, she was a great player along with setter Ding X. 2016 Olympic was the dream team, hope they win again in 2024. Zhu can block, spike from anywhere and serve, no other player like her now.

Rafael Baldini, but what a big lie you are saying. To start the Brazilian public was the worst with the girls from China, extremely rude. And don't you dare say no because they said it themselves, to be more exact Zhang Chang Ning said it. You yelled at them all the time they went home. And so it was in the games against Holland and Serbia. The Brazilian public supported the Dutch and Serbs, never supported China. But fortunately, the girls from China silenced their cries with magnificent games, never stopped fighting and that was why they were champions. Brazilians booeing on stadiums happened frequently not against China particularly, but against who faced the home team, because of the soccer stadiums culture in my country, people usually misbehave like that in stadiums during the Games, and I feel sorry for that (because I would never act that way) but it didn't mean we wouldn't recognize such a talented team as China in Women's Volleyball in 2016 Rio Olympics! Everyone I know here was cheering for China, and not for Serbia or USA during semifinals! I am not lying, don't you dare say what I did or not because you're not me!

Because of the rude booeing during not only this match in Rio Olympics 2016, but many other events were marked with this kind of 'less educated people behavior, not understanding they weren't in Football stadiums (a sport that is like a religion here)... But listen, I follow all kind of brazilian sporting media here, and when we talk about women's volleyball, we call Zhu Ting the best in the world right now, and team China is much more respected after that quarterfinals olympic match. I admit at that point, Brazil had been winning over China in Olympics editions previously constantly, and of course the whole country expected to win over China in that game because of that battle's history. But in the end China got the Gold and team China started to be said as Top 2 in the world alongside Serbia (winner of 2018 world championship)!

Yeah i followed this olympics and i thought china will be eliminated because they were at the bottom and will be up against the defending champion and the number 1 ranked in their pool, brazil in the QF. But when china won, i knew they will win the gold medal because they already eliminated brazil supposedly the best team and I was so happy for them and for their journey, on the brink of elimination, though i was rooting for USA. THE BEST GOLD MEDAL WINNER, CHINA!! And probably the sweetest victory in front of a brazilian crowd!! ZHU TING THE BEST!!
