They went by being totally creeped out by you from you filming them to a few seconds later asking if you could take their picture and were so delighted with you. 🤣 Then I rewinded it and I realized that they weren't creeped out by you at all but were rather trying to identify someone to take their photo but they were too shy to ask the other Westerners walk by them so quickly. 🤣
Early Dutch spelled the name BANGKOK in Roman alphabets more than 450 years ago since Ayutthaya period and correctly pronounced BARNG - GORK as well as Early Europeans and others. Then 200 years later came the Americans with flat accent wrongly pronounced BANK -KOK and with their broadcasting power just misleads everyone today. If you said Barng Gork to Thai people they'd be surprised and loved it.
